Same. I'm in until the end, bought more up not long ago. I'll say it now, as soon as this rises as it has in the past, I'm out. Waited a long long time for fruition, and I may as well take what I can, and put it elsewhere when that rise happens unless of course, it's because something is in development to be sold then I'll reap the rewards after these years.
Chinese companies - would they be welcomed so close to America?
I guess you haven't seen how the Chinese are all over Africa, and moved further into South America, especially since the covid lockdowns. However, can't talk of oil but rare earth minerals is something the Chinese Communist Party has secured over the last year.
"Good luck in Trinidad, because this company is unlikely to ever drill another well in the Bahamas." - TitanAtlas
"That's a shame Titan, because according to the rampers, they discovered a working petroleum system and a Major is currently looking at it." - IreneKrapp
The Bahamas government has changed since it was awarded in the first place, and tried to get out of it. US Officials were also down the necks of the Bahamas government. If I remember correctly, with now a Democrat US, no more wells off the coast of the Bahamas. But, I'm sure i read that they were open to onshore. So, there will be zero chance of any well in the Bahamas.
I agree, Timor Leste are having issues on the oil and gas front - people are pushing to conserve money for future generations and call the oil and gas projects, as vanity. The guy incharge of Timor Leste's oil/gas is far leftist, who has ousted the people that got Timor Leste's oil and gas going in the first place - Gusmao & Monteiro and many more (shakeup). I say this because at first, they were positive on Timor Leste's Oil and Gas, especially when called out about experience etc - as months went, it's declining and looking gloomy. The news articles even reflect the attitude, same with China's involvement. Hope it turns around, I really do.
You still can get in on it... I’m debating with myself... it looks good long term.
I agree, some update would be good for all but this is a share I keep my eye on now and then until news, patiently waited for, arrives. I'm hopeful of developments with Timor Leste, I don't believe it's over yet.
Rab.c.Nesbit. - Biden, especially Harris, come January's run off... may not be good time for many people invested. In the US, massive sell offs are predicated in January. If they win the Senate, the worst is yet to come. You're a fool. I've pulled out all my investments in aviation. COVID recovery is going to be bad enough, then we have someone who will not be President for long replaced by Harris. We're going into uncharted waters.
Interesting how former directors are in talks with Lucien Farrell.
Arabs would love their hands on Rolls Royce but whether our government would allow such stakes by foreign groups is another question... I guess us shareholders should be thankful it's not a Labour government, as it would be nationalised.
"My take on BT is that it’s near a historic low and will rise substantially- but I wouldn’t like to put a timeframe on it. As long as Covid-19 is with us I can’t see it happening."
Agreed... BT are expanding all over where I live, roads/pavements dug up. They're getting rid of much of their copper lines... and I was told that by doing so, should reduce costs in the long run. But, this is a good share to have, and i'll say it, even at these levels.
I'm confident too... when they put their money in, I bought more and just before these rises. I'm here for 1p+
COVID is a complete joke... and government has overstepped their mark while failing in the first place. A fun little fact, ground zero, aka Wuhan, has some normality and pool parties etc as reported by CNN.
