Ground gravity surveys identify three new geophysical targets at Black Hills

Greatland Gold plc (AIM:GGP), the precious and base metals exploration and development company, is pleased to announce positive final drill results with several intervals greater than 5g/t gold at its 100% owned Black Hills project in the Paterson region of Western Australia. The Company is also pleased to report it has identified three new geophysical targets following the completion of ground gravity surveys over the Black Hills licence and adjacent Havieron licence.

A Reverse Circulation ("RC") programme has been completed at Black Hills with a total of twenty RC holes for 5,846m, drilled to depths ranging from 154m to 500m. All holes were sampled from surface to end of hole as four metre composites with single metre samples analysed in areas of gold anomalism. Final analytical results have been received for all samples and are reported in this announcement.

Highlights of Drill Results

-- Results received confirm the presence of high-grade gold mineralisation at the Saddle Reefs prospect. Best results include:

o 13m @ 2.01g/t Au from 67m (SRRC012), including

-- 2m @ 7.38g/t Au from 77m

o 12m @ 1.38g/t Au from 32m (SRRC011), including

-- 1m @ 10.96g/t Au from 35m

o 36m @ 0.35g/t Au from surface (0m) (SRRC010)

o 19m @ 0.51g/t Au from 118m (SRRC007)

-- New drill results are considered very positive with several intervals greater than 5g/t gold, indicating the potential for a fertile gold system at Black Hills.

New Targets at Black Hills

-- Greatland has completed ground gravity surveys over the entire Black Hills licence and adjacent Havieron licence, which have identified three new geophysical targets in the Black Hills area:

o Parlay - Located in the south-western corner of the Black Hills licence, the Parlay target includes magnetic and gravity anomalies on an interpreted key lithological and structural contact.

o Black Hills North - Located to the north of recent drilling, Black Hills North comprises coincident gravity, magnetic and IP anomalies.

o Black Hills South - Located on Greatland's Havieron licence (E45/4701), Black Hills South is a very high amplitude gravity anomaly located at the interpreted closure of the Black Hills Dome to the south of outcrop under relatively thin cover (approximately 50m).

or they are fed up and see another year of bobbing around in this range.

GGP did not take any cash payment up front for the farm in. that is a massive difference.

i think it was already assessed to be around another year from now. but i think they may well give out an initial estimate and upgrade it as we move forward. we are already on at least hole 34 so they must have some idea of the minimum already.

essentially, another year of drilling...GGP create no revenue. the cash reserve will go down. BH& FT did not set off any fireworks as some on here predicted. placings at 1.85 cant be happy. how can anyone be happy with an sp that chugs along and does not go up and stay up.

time for GGP to offload some assets.

i think there has been around 50 RNS this year. some were of no major value - price monitoring, voting rights, etc...but the rest, i can only remember 1 that did not quite hit expectations. and yet the sp has not really progressed. yes its spiked up a bit and dipped on the placing. but this pathetic trading range is very tedious.

we are very much under the control of a big announcement by NC now. cant see one this side of xmas and there wont be any massive news at the AGM of either..thats just the annual drink-fest for investors.

Key Highlights of Results and Modelling

-- Eight high-priority targets have been identified following modelling of detailed magnetic and gravity data, including four primary targets:

o Goliath: Originally identified as a very high amplitude, bulls-eye magnetic feature in Greatland's recent aeromagnetic survey, new data shows a very large amplitude gravity anomaly semi-coincident with the magnetic anomaly.

o Los Diablos: A bulls-eye, high intensity magnetic anomaly located in a structurally favourable position with a gravity response of moderate to high amplitude coincident with the magnetic feature.

o Prefect: A high amplitude magnetic anomaly with a semi-coincident moderate amplitude gravity response.

o Atlantis: Characterised by two distinct east-west trending high amplitude magnetic anomalies on the western edge of the tenement, new ground gravity data has defined three target areas within Atlantis.

-- Mobile Metal Ion ("MMI") sampling has been completed at 200m by 200m sample spacing over all key Paterson Range targets. MMI results are pending and will be incorporated with latest data sets to prioritise targets for further geophysical work and drill testing.

-- Limited historical drilling was conducted in the early 1990s at each of the four primary targets but drilling failed to adequately test these targets with most holes too shallow to intersect the modelled anomalies.

Gervaise Heddle, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "The results from the recent geophysical surveys at Paterson Range East further advance our knowledge and understanding of an underexplored part of the Paterson which has outstanding potential to host tier-one gold-copper deposits. In particular, the Los Diablos and Prefect targets share very similar geophysical characteristics to Havieron, and appear to be under significantly less cover than Havieron.
