Didn’t really want to chip in as it’s a personal thing. But IMO paying a mortgage off is very overrated these days as the cost of borrowing is so low. I could understand it when the rates were 15%. I’m in the same boat but will keep a mortgage till end of term and let my investments bring in a return either here or in divi paying stocks.

Its possible the rise is due other II taking a chunk and not just GDXJ. And as mentioned previously after admission to an ETF the rise should continue if there are other catalysts - we have plenty coming up.

dodge, thanks for posting. What is the reason these trades are for an identical SP and amount?, is this a huge order someone has put in and the SP is manipulated to fill it? someone out there must be able to apply some logic to this

Im sure there will be new accounts opened to cause disruption and seed doubt about where this is heading.
I cannot state strongly enough not to respond to the BS and simply filter thereby preventing promoting the title of the post and clogging the board up with a ****ging match. Just my opnion.

This video explains the GDXJ rebalancing quite well. It states the buying begins happens on the day i.e 18th. Also states the price increase may be temporary except in the cases where there are further catalysts , in which case it could continue to increase. Catalysts?..mmm:
-Bulk mining opton for Hav
-Scally results due
-Broker update
-Gold price surging.

Elise, its unlikely they will be able to complete buying £22m worth in one day before UK market closes of Friday hence bulk of buying might be on Monday.
