I received a letter from my bank. it stated that the interest on my savings account would reduce on the 5th January 2021 to %0001. Today I have been informed the building society is cutting its rate on 1 year accounts to %60. Madam Spins tenant could not pay the rent on her buy to let and so having made a few grands worth of work for the builder, carpet fitter and painter did a runner. Each week the supermarket delivers the same order. It has gone up 28%. (Madam Spin is a carer)
Investing in the stock market though is dodgy too. I was looking at MRW and it has fallen by about %20. Today all eyes are on TW with their positive rns on the housing market but in reality the share is a shadow of itself. We are led to believe the housing market is buoyant. Madam Spin found a buyer in days at a price way above what the grotty little place was worth. The problem is why is the market so and what does one do with the cash when you sell.
