RE: Relenting on sanctions21 May 2026 09:59
Just while we are waiting for EUA to sell its assets for zillions, to pass the time away …. puntercat could benefit from some study of the 2013 defamation act — in particular, he does not appear to understand:
1) the defence of truth (e.g. it is factually true, and evidenced in its own RNSs, that EUA keeps on losing money from mining, rather than making money. and to date it has shown no other income streams that can be used to pay its bills as they fall due other than placings and/or additional debt)
2) the defence of honest opinion… prior to the 2013 act, the ‘fair comment’ defence came along with a need to demonstrate both ‘balance’ and public interest. but neither are needed for honest opinion, and there is no requirement whatsoever for a honest opinion to be either polite or balanced … so someone with an honestly held negative opinion about EUA could legally say that they think it’s a completely s**t company, and say they think that the BOD are f***ing useless failures,
3) the need for a finding of libel *against a company* to prove serious harm *specifically in the form of serious financial loss* (… ?? so, what serious financial loss has EUA suffered, that was demonstrably caused by any post by anyone on this chat board?? - evidence please, lol!)
