You're on a wild goose chase here, if I were you I would spend your time learning you lessons from Wishbone and make sure you don't make the same mistakes and then quickly move on. Private companies in Australia have no requirement to report anything - their UK listing is not relevant. You’d be better off with AIM regulation or the FCA although that is a choice between a chocolate teapot and chocolate fire guard.

Hedging is part of the reason, but also the posts below are correct that futures prices are well below spot so currently it’s priced short term.

Personally I think the futures market looks optimistic- I don’t see an easy off ramp here for anyone, it’s clear that strategic reserves will be tapped for trying to bring spot prices down and so demand for oil longer term will increase as strategic reserves will be viewed as even more critical.

The longer spot remains elevated the more this will feed SP and if its feed into futures than further SP gain. Question for Jadestone is if futures do start to move how aggressive do they get with hedging future production.

I'm not sure if you realize that Chris Gilbert, part of the management team at ECOB specifically told TW that they were discussing a placing with brokers. This is more than just a rumour, it has come from within the company itself.

Unfortunately LL, I've been around AIM long enough to know that is not how it works. Placing information is routinely leaked and sold into, you absolutely have to take this into account when you are investing in AIM. I've actually no issue with ECOB doing a placing, I fully expect it is needed and it is factored into my decision, but I won't be happy if the mechanisms have resulted in any overly large discount.

Yesterdays SP movement was textbook indication of placing news leaking and potential forward selling - It does appear on this occasion that TW may have scuppered the activities and its possible it could create a squeeze on those who forward sold.

NAV actually means something- net asset value. It doesn’t matter whether you are an accountant or a florist, it means the same thing.

You seem to be talking about yield and P/E assuming in a bankruptcy scenario it can indeed just be transferred to the highest bidder.

Whatever I’ve seen it all over these boards multiple times across multiple companies “We can’t lose, even if it goes to bankruptcy we’ll get more than today”. It never happens of course but sure this time it’s different.

For what it’s worth I don’t think this will go to bankruptcy, but it’s a complete punt as to where it lands now, we’ve no idea what other skeletons might be in the closet. We already saw on Friday people taking advantage of the ‘overreaction’ and then Monday came.

Ok well firstly that had nothing to do with NAV.

Secondly I would be highly cautious thinking that in a bankruptcy situation the contract with CRODA allows for a free transfer of those contractual royalty stream rights, it would be fairly standard that in the event of bankruptcy CRODA can effectively block any transfer and pay a nominal sum themselves, or even they automatically transfer.

How are you calculating NAV? Market cap is still £17million and total assets at 30th June was £12million of which £4.2million was goodwill/intangible so essentially worthless in a liquidation scenario. Total liabilities were £2.7million. Tangible NAV was effectively £5million at June-25 and we know cash is reduced since then.

The raise isn’t coming tomorrow, it requires the resolution at the AGM and there is no immediate pressing need. Newsflow in the next weeks/months can push it higher before then.

It’s a junior explorer, everyone should be aware there are cash requirements and the directors have duties to ensure going concern.
