No fear - Nearly all large cap companies have ii who own shares in that company, as do Cine !
It doesn’t mean they are going to hand over cash to to help buy a target company .
Major investors invest for all kinds of reasons , to short a stock , pump and dump , hold for divis etc..
We don’t know why they are investing but it’s more than likely it’s the same reason as to why you and many other on here are investing , to hold the stock and sell at a higher price
I can’t see how jangho can afford to buy out cine . With a market cap of just £800m and the owners personal wealth of just £785m they are going to need a lot more money to secure 100% of Cine . We will be a £1b company again over the next couple of weeks
Went to 4DX showing of tenet yesterday . Only a dozen people there but it was a Friday I guess . Nobody bothered keeping their masks on as there were so many empty seats ( including me ).
It’s a complicated film to get you’re head around and you only start piecing things together half way through . The chairs moving about were a
distraction in a movie like tenet as you needed 100% concentration to keep up with the plot !!
Overall I was happy and pleased that cinemas in general are back
MM = market makers
There’s only one blockbuster worth watching in the next 12 months - Cineworld vs Cineplex haha
Haha , people thinking tenet will save the day like superman or something !!
A marvel blockbuster wouldn’t go a miss atm
Daveoilfriday- if you’re looking at investing in renewables look no further than PHE. They have technology to turn non renewable plastics into hydrogen for next generation transport
GH and SB have sold large volumes , insider selling damages sentiment and it spooks investors as they know something we don’t . If SP was to rise above 15p in the short to medium term they wouldn’t have sold . Why would a CEO damage sentiment when the company has been making good progression recently?
Nice to see a bit of stability in the SP price ! 50p new support level ?
I went to my local town centre the weekend for a night out and it was worse night I had there .I bumped into a few ppl I knew in the pubs but told to sit down with the group I entered the bar with by staff and Doorman. The spontaneity of bumping into friends and having a chat in towns and city bars are dead atm until a vaccine is found and for that reason I will only being going to local pubs. I lot of ppl feel this way and so it’s the local pubs that will thrive and that’s where the hub of Marston’s pubs are . My only worry is the lockdown of pubs for schools rumour going around but I can’t see why the government will lock down pubs during august with the ‘ eat out to help out ‘ scheme still running. If the pubs do close for the schools then the 1st-5th Sept would probably be the tigger date
Another short squeeze by the looks of it
Synxs - AML isn’t a risk, it’s a cert. My brother works at Mercedes F1 which has close links with AML due to its owners. Next year racing point will be using this years Mercedes car , guaranteed second place . AML are getting into EVs too like Tesla so there’s huge growth to come and very quickly.
I know PHE is a long hold but so was SXX and look how that turned out . All we want is an update to see how things are progressing but with lack of news for so long sentiment goes down along with volume. I don’t know , maybe they’re all sat around scratching
their a$$es while on furlough
All my other investments , AML , cine , mars and even ITM smashed it today . Only one down was PHE. I could sell now , make money elsewhere and come back to PHE in a couple months and it will still be floating between 3.5- 4p
£3 buy out ? This must be a joke surely..haha
Companies normally offer a 40-50% premium on the current SP. SP would need to be £2 to get to £3 and that won’t be happening for a long time. The quicker the SP goes up the better for us but Disney needs to act fast to get a bargain
Sold at 55p two days before big drop as I anticipated bad news . Watched it go to 33 and still didn’t consider buying back in as sentiment was low and SP could have easily fallen further. With the paramount law being scrapped and cinemas at rock bottom prices every major Cinema chain is primed for a take over by the likes of Disney , universal , Netflix etc...
I’m back in and averaging 40p
