Trendfriend's observation about Hilton and Ibis prompted me to dig a little deeper.

It looks like we have made it into 6 major hotel chains. Many of these hotels have multiple places to eat (Bar, Brasserie, restaurant)

Hopefully these are all trials that could go nationwide. Very exciting in my view.

Hilton (71 hotels + 25 'Doubletree by Hilton' + 14 'Hampton by Hilton') - 3 live in London

Ibis - (59 hotels) - 2 live in London

Marriot (50 hotels) - 1 live in Leeds

Holiday Inn (135 hotels) - 2 live in Hull, 1 live in Bournemourth

Ramada (39 hotels) - 1 live in Kenilworth

Mercure (74 hotels) - 1 live in Chester, 3 live in Rotherham

A great start to the week

up 10 to 585 so far, plus two new locations. Will check again later

Nine weeks ago we had 15 locations and 215 restaurants. Now we have 575 in 119 locations. This includes several chains (Wildwood, Marco Pierre White etc). By May/June we'll have 1000 restaurants and rumours of buy-outs will start to surface. The problem I have is that I can't get any more funds into my ISA before 6th April, otherwise I'd certainly be picking up more.

B'mouth is at 40. I personally think your counts are a little early in the day as restaurants are added though to 10:30am, but they are your counts so do them when you like.

I count +2 in Bournemouth, so +7 for the day.

I see 119 on the website (page footer). Try reloading in an incognito window.

Daily counts are an indicator only. For me, a specific daily count doesn't matter. I just want to know what the rate of change is over a week or two and daily count data informs this.

Data compared to my 2:45pm count yesterday...

In Android I 'force stopped' the BigDish app and cleared the data/cache. When I opened it again it was as though it was the first time - 4 screens explaining the app, then a list of locations. Users need to set an initial location from this list. I compared it with the location list from the website and both are the same (117).

It's possible they've segmented the customer base somehow, perhaps for a trial, so some of us see 122 and some 117. Would be useful if an Android user (that sees 122) could go through the force stop / clear data process and recount. Perhaps old locations are cached within the app.

just counted again and I see 558 restaurants in 117 locations.

I'm using the website (not the app) to count. Perhaps the app / website are not in sync. This may account for me and Art having lower counts that Monty??

Sorry, busy morning. My count taken at 14:45. We must've lost one in Sheffield since the earlier counts.

They announced 500 before they were all online. Perhaps it's 562 agreed and they'll be added soon?
