Hi All. Just for fun here are my thoughts on events in 2024.

1. POG to exceed $2500/oz.

2. Gold accepted as an exchange mechanism for trade between the BRICS.

3. The USA $ falls from grace as the reserve currency.

4. Central banks continue purchasing gold at record levels.

5. The smaller banks will be gobbled up by the big banks.

6. Unfortunately, the middle east countries will continue to blow them selves apart.

7. China takes Tiwan with a bent vote.

8. AI proves to be an unmitigated disaster.

9. Massive flows of funds into the PMs space.

10. GGPs SP exceeds ATHs.

As i posted previously, let the shorts have their profits, it makes no diff to the outcome. The shorts must be admired in a perverse way and must have "nerves o steel" to be positioned short at these levels. As production nears i see them running for the exit in increasingly bigger Nos and the SP going parabolic for a short time. ATB Speedy

Hi All. The correlation between the amount of stock on loan for shorting and the SP movements is quite compelling. Whilst the % of shares in issue that are being shorted is insignificant, when in the hands of professional traders they can and will take control of the price. These traders are very aware of the Lassonde curve and will use carefully timed trades to take advantage of the "lull before the storm". Let them have their profits as it means absolutely nothing to the investor waiting for the storm. ATB Speedy

We are all aware that the powers that be are not on our side and they will keep on trying to contain opposition by all means available. That is why the majority of folks here are trying to protect themselves and their families by maintaining and growing wealth. Hi All. Regardless of what Mr Dawn Shay says, as we approach production time and with a fast rising POG the market will see GGP as a good investment. The shorts will be long gone by then and fair value will be achieved. 1 year after production starts and the POG at circa $3000/oz GGP will be up there in GDX and the doors will be well and truly "blow off" ATB Speedy

Hi all. The volatility in the PMs space will increase as the banks do battle with the physical market. Traders on the COMEX standing for delivery are hurting the paper traders who have shot themselves in the foot. Driving the price down to such levels is attracting physical buyers taking advantage of this fire sale. Will we ever see gold below $2000/oz again? I very much doubt it, but if it does, back up that truck. ATB Speedy

Almost 20 million in 10 days added to the loan for shorting. What is important is that folks here do not get draw into the "sell now and buy back lower strategy". These shorters are professional traders and will leave the PIs holding the empty bag. Just hold or add. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Have been with HL now for ages. I am not a trader so my charges are on the costly side but any trades i do make are always at my price and not "at best". 1 or 2 % each way is normally achievable over a day or two. Have had a few problems with them but they are always sorted with compensation, if relevant. Safe as they come and easy to contact. I am happy with HL. Just wish the banks would stop dicking about with my shiny stuff. ATB Speedy

Hi All. With the drive towards wind and solar accelerating battery storage requirements will accelerate with them. Not sure on the % usage EV v storage but i would imagine storage usage will be huge. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Waiting for the COT report tonight for positions held on the COMEX up to Tuesday close. My bet is on a massive increase in the banks short position. The news from the good ole USA is an increase in jobs created and a drop in the unemployed. Read that as "burger flipping increasing" and " cant be bothered to work pass me the meth". Under no circumstances must you be influenced into selling your holdings of physical gold. This recent pull back has been manufactured to make the $ look good, A bit like putting make up on a corpse.
