I even like the ramper/ derampers, bed wetters, the SP in the future guessers in fact all the above is what makes a great BB. Hi Third man. JPM and others have been getting away with this type of practice for ages. Their criminal activity pockets billions and they get fined millions, until the regulatory authorities incarcerate the main players in there bent system it will continue. JPM have personally cost me several million£s over the years with their criminal activities, i now run from any Co involved with JPM. That means most PM ETFs. ATB Speedy

Hi Hydro. My view on ETFs is this. If/when there is a massive rerate in the POG/S it will happen over the weekend you will be locked out, a force majeure will be announced and you will be paid out on Fridays COP with worthless $$$$$s. Must add, silver Brits carry VAT( unless held offshore) but are CGT free and the premiums are high. Over time the premiums become less of a problem and timing of purchase is crucial(now is a good entry time(IMO) ATB Speedy

Hi Hydro. ETFs carry 3rd party risk(all of them without exception) is my understanding. Why Brits over krugerands? if the tax man catches you selling krugerands for a profit he will want 45%(unless you a stacking like RRR at Tescos) Brits are VAT and CGT free. ATB Speedy

Hi Iseo. With £100k to invest in PMs the most important things to consider, safety, time scale,tax liability and risk tolerance. I like gold Brits if purchased for about 4% premium(hard to do) held for a few years the 4/5% is insignificant. For better gains but with much higher volatility(strong constitution needed) silver Brits held offshore(swiss airport bonded store) they attract no VAT unless deliver is needed. Please do not buy £100k of PMs and take delivery for safety store them at place of purchase (Sharps Pixley are safe and are owned by a swiss refinery). If you are looking for coins to keep at home i suggest Gold soverigns and half sovs( just a few for the monthly shop) I would steer clear of ETFs except for a quick trade. Shares in a gold/silver mine are a way of leveraging the POG/S.

Hi Mapp. I read your posts and feel your pain, you must have had some very bad times trying to play the AIM game. Shorts are a part of that game, without them there would be no market. please do not blame your losses on the shorters/sellers. Your losses were your decision to trade. Use AIM for a fum time and a gamble nothing more nothing less. With a vast amount of time used in research and a vast amount of luck it will pay out, but not very often. ATB Speedy
