I see his worst case scenario as a given. Inflation goes through the roof, by design, to get rid of the debt. The bondmarket demands much higher returns and the whole plan goes to pot This is not new news to me and is the main reason I see gold at 10k/oz early 2027. ATB Speedy

Hi all looking at the 5year chart for gold it is as clear as the nose on your face that certain levels were being defended. 2500 took ages to fail, 3500 then 4550 the last to fail was 5000. Be interesting to see at what level they fail at next leg up. ATB Speedy

Saving in fiat is a brain dead action. Pricing things in fiat is giving false readings. Pricing gold in fiat is meaningless.

How much physical gold do I own. That is what folk should be asking themselves.

Inground value priced at over 3000usd/oz.

Hi blue. Not all storage vaults charge the same. In general between 0.5pc and 1pc of total value inc insurance is the norm so as the valuegoesupdo does the fees. All vaulted metals in Uk vaults and stored for private investors are allocated and “ have your name on them”. ATB Speedy

Hi 96. Bit of a double edged sword I’m afraid. Higher rates normally mean headwinds for gold as it is non interest bearing on the other hand higher rates means more debt to service the debt.

The point is muted by the fact that no one really cares about GBP anymore as all eyes are on what happens to the dollar. ATB Speedy

Hi All. Lots of narrative on the wire about the short term gold price. The spread is from highly negative to extremely bullish. We need to see 5500/oz and held above for a week or so to see the next climb to 10k/oz by early 2027.

The banks are desperate to keep it below 5k. They are up against a tsunami of funds looking for a safe haven to ride out the coming rout in over priced equity markets.

The gold miners will see a massive influx of funds with investors looking for a leveraged play on the continuing rise in the POG. ATB Speedy
