Yeah, the EU has pretty much sold out the Transport industry to Eastern Europe. Many of the drivers you SE will earn 2/300 pound a week while being away for a month at a time. The DSA don't enforce the same rules they enforce on British drivers/firms. Germany tried to enforce their minimum wage whilst working on their soil. It was shot down. Yeah, hyperinflation and high interest rates will hurt no doubt. Double whammy when you lose your job. As a Self employed HGV driver who contracts for builders merchants, things ain't looking great. Contract finishes next week, if no building work will look at an immediate 20% rate decrease. Should always be able to find work in General Haulage but rates are low. Being Self Employed should help with short contracts though. Que sera sera! Whatever doesn't kill you and all that.

Watched the vid m8, thx. Silver traded at a range of 110 pips yesterday from jobs numbers, finished 100 higher. Does appear tha China, Russia and India are driving demand. At some point they're gonna let it off the hook but after much more accumulation same with gold. The Chinese recently removed the ban on imported silver ore. They have also been on a PR offensive encouraging citizens to invest in silver bullion as a cheaper alternative to Gold. They are long time advocates of a partial gold backed yuan though are far from close to that imo, same as Russia. Another very important driver will be the shift to Solar power from China and India requiring Silver. At the levels needed there is a shortage already in the physical Silver market. Silver is already up 43% on the year! Given Currency and manufacturing demands, Supply shortages, it isn't to difficult to see somewhere close to $100 within a couple of years, very probable by 2020. Spent last 90 mind reading up on positive and negative Freedoms. Seems a lot smarter people than me have been discussing this for decades and they can't reach a concensus. My I'll informed take on it is this. Negative Libertarians don't truly want negative liberty just the liberty to do what they want while constraints are placed on others. True negative Liberty would turn into anarchy therefore there has to be an element of Positive Liberty. The question is how much. I could give you many examples of negative Liberty that has gone to far so therefore has required a shift back to positive Freedom. Unlike the socialists, I believe the poor are more negatively free than positively. It's the wealthy that need the state to protect them. Where I fall on the scale would require more study but probably safe to say I fall in the positive freedom camp. But I'm a hypocrite lol. Reminds me of what my Dad used to say to me, 'do what I say, not what I do'. As ever, my answer to many of the world's woes is education. A real education not the crap u get in schools.

I'd kept the silver long open, got nervous on the pullback. China, reading a piece earlier suggests there will be capital flight as the Yuan devalues further. Could well be the tipping point. Goldman went 66% on a rate hike this year. Long time for bad news before then.

If metals are anything to go by, not a chance! I closed all longs before numbers and went long #/yen. Quickly up so quickly moved stop. Saw it falling had another look at numbers and went long metals. Suprised Oil isn't rising more on weaker $. Will have to see if figures are revised. Would be Suprised if they are not revised downwards and labour force figures important too.

$/yen rose then fell back. Metals fell now rising

Great headline number market liked it for 5 mind. 0.2 % increase in unemployment and only .1% increase in earnings.

Bought a small batch today with a view to adding on more weakness.
