Did people see that £250k (1/4mil) buy in one go from Tuesday? Not sure you do that without having done some serious due diligence... think this acquisition is a total game changer. Management at recent Mello investor presentation were incredibly excited about this opportunity
Thinking about the position the company is in post LG deal.
I’m of the opinion that AVCT are in a much better position to win deals and gain serious attention from big companies. This is because I think the LG deal will be seen almost as a validation of the Affirmer platform. You don’t throw $310mil at a small British biotech company without good reason. Potential deal makers with Avacta will see this deal and take notice, and feel reassured in their potentially massive investment.
I would welcome others thoughts on this. What do we think?
Big day today in the end. Some big trades including that 142k or £50k buy reported after the bell. Institutions clearly still falling over themselves to get shares here. Placing overhang looks to have finally cleared so nothing more holding this back!
American market opens at 1. Saw some speculating this will get a bit of attention from across the pond to add to what it is already getting here. Rocket launch is at 18:30 GMT. Imagine if it blows up! I could literally watch my money going up in flames hahaha
whoops old ID, sorry chaps ;)
Very sad to see this news today. We now need a few factors to play out. Think Harvey HAS to be a good drill. Bacton has to get bought asap (btw is there a difference between "Bacton gas terminal" and "Thames onshore reception facilities" at Bacton). There is also now brexit risk involved. We've seen the company say they are basically unable to get funding as things stand. I Think gas prices will trend much higher over the winter due to macro factors. Will hopefully demonstrate a greater need for our cheap local gas. There are plenty of players in the North Sea who actually have lots of cash and with whom we could partner if worst comes to worst.
got it
(the current one is from a film)
She's from Camarco www.camarco.co.uk
Btw guy's i'll be making a new ID seeing as I use this board frequently now. Current name is a bit offensive really, so i'll say who I am when start posting under new ID
Hi guys, I’ve heard back from the company regarding Heerema. Copy and pasted below:
Thank you for getting in touch. As an introduction, we advise IOG on its PR and IR requirements, hence our getting in touch.
In regards to your question, IOG continues to work with Heerema to realise the delivery of the Blythe and Vulcan Satellites hub platforms. Their recent announcement is not expected to impact that objective.
Do let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Kind regards,
Monique
So no impact, as expected by some on here. Good to hear from the company. I will email the PR company about a potential future appearance at a Mello event (this Mello London has been fantastic and I highly recommend going if you are a PI)
A few large sales still going through, outnumbering big buys in frequency and volume. Hasn’t been leaky before so hopefully meaningless and just wider market manvoeurings
I haven’t heard back from the management regarding either Heerema or their attendance for Mello. I can only assume they are far too busy atm with everything that is going on. Just need the news now... think we have said this before but surely must be soon in order to maintain our end of Q4 deadline for FDP approval following FID and funding news. I would definitely find another delay frustrating but if it happens it happens
But fingers crossed for news this week!!
So much to come from this company and it’s management
They would hopefully be able to make it as corporate presentation all made up, and slot is only 40 mins or so, and in London. So could only be 2.5 hours out of their day to present to many PIs and others in the investment industry.
Good point about Faroe. Still volatility in the £ important.
I used the email contact form on their website. I've linked it below actually regarding contacting them over Mello.
Brexit definitely could be an issue. Bonds will be priced in Euros so currency volatility will be having an effect on capital markets. Try and get the company to come to the event I mentioned and I'll be able to ask them about the effect of Brexit and let you know their response!
"Why not ask them if they would like to come and present to us at #MelloLondon as we have two slots left ?"

Hi guys, can you all try to contact the company and ask them to present at Mello London private investors event on the 26th and 27th (this monday and tuesday)? I am going and will be able to film/record the event. There are two free slots for a company to present in.
I think it would be fantastic if we were able to get IOG to come along during this transformational quarter.
You can tweet @ the company here: https://twitter.com/IOG_plc
Or you can use this form to ask them via their website: https://www.independentoilandgas.com/contact.php
Or you can call them at this number: +44 (0) 20 3879 0510
Please try and do this and I'll be able to post the whole presentation online for you guys.
Sadly no response yet. I promise I'll let you guys know ASAP if they do get back to me
Nice term a broker used was "catapult the company in into the UK E&P premier league". We could 10 bag from these levels. £300m market cap not unreasonable for a company with £1.5bn to £2bn pre tax cash flow from reserves. And that's just from the early developments. More assets to come on stream for sure via future licensing rounds and acquisitions.
I would love to see a producing asset come into the fold pre phase 1 gas. Andrew has said they're evaluating prospective acquisitions all the time.
FID news must be very soon as they'll want to get that FDP approval before christmas
