The product (Affirmers) work it’s just the process and unfortunately the process is now being managed by our public servants. If Avacta hadn’t chased the UK Government contracts then this SP would be £4-5 already. However... Sir Al is a patriot and wants to do his but for this magnificent country. Once the Government get their **** together this will be over £10 per share easy.... they are the only thing holding us back!
But it’s the calm before the storm imo. The reason for the radio silence is that many things supportive of Avacta, which will only ensure a successful rollout of moonshot is still out for tender. This will include vehicles/ vans with weather/ winter proof awnings, all technical and technology kits and staffing deployed via outsourced partners. The huge infrastructure needed to support a game changing rapid antigen test developed by Avacta is gigantic... but it’s coming! The government will only announce the news when all the ducks are finally lined up... The Avacta Rapid Antigen test (we even know the product name) works for sure, it HAS been properly validated, it already has the global manufacturing partners in place... we are just waiting for our “support network” to catch up with us so the government can be confident that the supply chain will be a success... and when it does it will be boom time! Exciting few weeks top up where you can...
PL75 I hope you’re right mate. It doesn’t strike me as a overly professional company but I know someone connected and they claim Avacta is simply a red herring.
On their website Christian Stephenson, Chief Development Officer at Medusa 19, commented: “Testing for infection is pivotal to navigating the pandemic. The clinical evaluation showed the detection of an immune response to the virus could be detected in patients with no specific symptoms rapidly and accurately from a saliva sample which is a game-changer. By testing on a mass scale, outbreaks can be quickly pin-pointed and brought under control, therefore avoiding the imposition of strict blanket lockdowns.
“The ability to rapidly test on a mass scale represents a huge leap forward for the global recovery from COVID-19, pioneered here in the UK. Clinical trial results are encouraging, and this could provide the global workforce with an accessible, reliable test, that can indicate an immune response to current or recent infection, even in carriers with no specific symptoms.
Surely the UK government wouldn’t give a moonshot deal to a company with such close links to Boohoo?
I’ve seen the old debate Antigen v Antibody Test a few times on here but wanted to revisit the “antibody” product which is already for sale on the Medusa19 website.
This is clearly advertised as a “Rapid Saliva Protein Test” and is available for £30. Does anyone know more about this product?
Many posters on here simply dismiss antibody tests as not suitable for mass screening as apparently it only tells you if you have previously been infected, however this antibody product seems to suggest that it does flag If you have a current Covid infection.

An extract from the product synopsis:
Importantly, since this test indicates an immune response to current or recent infection, it can therefore alert users if they should immediately self-isolate to stop the spread of the disease. Independent clinical trials were conducted in collaboration with Hospital Carlos III/Institute Carlos III – Hospital La PAZ, Madrid, on 254 participants. In a cohort of patients with no specific symptoms, the trial demonstrated relative sensitivity of 96 per cent (ability to detect true positives), relative specificity of 92 per cent (ability to detect true negatives) and 94 per cent accuracy in patients with the absence of specific symptoms and who did not know they had an active SARS-CoV-2 infection.
The test is CE marked to 98/79/EC, registered with the MHRA, and is for use under supervision from a medical professional throughout Europe. It could prove pivotal in helping companies safely reopen workplaces and take action in line with government guidance. The RSPT is under application with the FDA Emergency Use Authorisation for approval in the USA.
Medusa 19 is currently working to develop an app which will act as a digital passport to verify and validate RSPT results, the Saturn Pass.
IS this product our competition or not, and is this the product which could be used for project moonshot?
He needed cash NOW. For anyone who has bought a house previously may know that ‘completion dates‘ (when in a chain) are impossible to control. He sold 3-4% of his holding and in the grand scheme of things is going to be fvck all.. Big Al knows he’s going to be a multi millionaire anyway.... one thing I know is we have a fantastic CEO who has a super strong moral compass. Those that are p1ssed at him for buying a house really should take a look in the mirror!
Any bid from big Pharma will see this SP fly. I’m still buying and still holding. Difficult not to at this price. The fundamentals are exactly the same as this time last week only the CEO bought a house. Massively undervalued...
Tweet from Myles:
Given that #AVCT is in talks the UK Gov, and that it is one of the most closely followed companies on the LSE, do people really think the CEO would be stupid enough to sell before bad news?
It is less than 1/25 of his equity, and for a family home.
Thoroughly deserved, Alastair
Anyone stopped to think for just a minute. If there was bad news due Alastair Smith WOULDN'T BE ALLOWED to sell any shares - so actually this is very good news. Massive over reaction he only sold 3% of his holding hardly a dump before bad news is it. I’ve just bought more at £1.72.
What a share this is... a traders dream. Volatile or should I say velatile! I’ve sold at .101 as this will tank tomorrow but I’ll be looking to buy back at around .07
This company has long term investment potential though so hoping to trade in the short term to build a sizeable position....
It’s a deal with the regulator before we start lending again. It convinced them Amigo will be ethical and professional. It’s good news for sure... I’d much rather be invested in a company that has this arrangement as it gives us some protection.
