ROLLS-Royce SMR has signed a new agreement to support the delivery of its small modular reactor (SMR) programme.

Yokogawa’s UK office and design facility in Runcorn will support delivery and engineering, with additional work taking place in the Czech Republic and the Netherlands.

The deal is with industrial automation specialist Yokogawa Electric Corporation, which will provide data processing and control systems in partnership with Rolls-Royce SMR, covering the first units in its planned global fleet.
