(Thomson Financial) - Uranium Resources PLC said it has received further positive results indicating widespread uranium mineralisation at its flagship Mtonya project in Southern Tanzania, adding the project has potential to yield significant uranium deposits.
The uranium mining company said while drilling to date has been limited to 50 metres to ensure maximum coverage in each campaign, there is still further potential below 50 metres depth for mineralisation.
Director James Pratt said: "The extensive exploration programmes, conducted by our partners Western Metals, has again yielded exciting results which underpin the board's belief that we are operating in a new uranium district which has strong potential to house economic deposits." tf.TFN-Europe_newsdesk@thomson.com jjo/tsm/ms1 COPYRIGHT Copyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
