Also inflation has probably peaked and interest rate rises not as aggressive and possibly falling later in 2023.

So you could say the bad news already factored into 2022 number which blew the forecasts apart ?

One thing I would add is that cash is king and 16.5m by year end and could be double that by end of 2023 coupled with no debt.

Also market is meant to look 6 to 12 months ahead so bad debt for 2022 is a red herring as already priced in as SP Angel had bad debt falling to traditional levels in 2023

Completely agree, now the question is with a £16m war chest what do YU do with it ?

Progressive dividend or acquisition's ? This is where is gets very exciting as nearly £1 a share held in cash

It’s isn’t about SP it’s about market cap. £10 is £160m MC

Industry PE average is 27, YU is currently 3 times below the industry average, never mind 1/3rd of MC in cash by year end.

So no £10 a share isn’t unreasonable at all in 2023

Indeed, very short sighted of the sellers but who can blame them as they will try to get back in cheaper. Will this trick work again ? The £2 and £3 players got locked out. Tomorrow will set the tone as the news flow is increasing, institutions increasing holdings, price targets increasing, profit, turnover and cash increasing. Short terms dips but the direction is very clear

A little bit annoying we have come down from 16% up to currently 4.4% but still up and a massive turnover closing in on 500k shares traded so far.

The future is very bright for YU and the direction is very clear and in 2023 I now believe 1000p is possible as YU outperform time and time again. Roll on 2023 it’s going to be a beautiful sight

I think a dividend is nailed on for 2023 the question is how big as cash at year end is forecast to be at least 16m so by aug when RO is paid will be way over 30m

YU is throwing off cash and it will be like a money tree in 2023 and onwards into 2024.

If they do start a progressive dividend I would like an option of a script dividend like GOOD so I can take cash or share

Next year is key with Jan FY trading update ( if not before ) will set the tone for 2023, I really believe if the number are as we expect 1000p is not out of the question in 2023 and even higher 2024 if energy prices are still elevated.

Can’t believe we are still below the 3 year high of 380 set back in 2020 when the business is 3 times the size, profitable, huge cash pile and growing at an extra ordinary rate.

Great post as always SNN, with regards to risk and reward Miton and Jamison have stepped up and increased holdings and I do think they have continued to increase and the reward far outweighs the risk at these levels, because if those numbers hold we are talking serious numbers and not 1000p SP but far higher

And that the point. Toni g is better in this environment, cash rich, no debt, defensive sector, huge market opportunity of 36b per annum turnover to eat into.
