COVID testing to be eased for fully-vaccinated travellers - report
Britain's vaccinated travellers will be able to go on half-term holidays next month without taking COVID-19 tests on their return, The Sunday Times reported.
Transport minister Grant Shapps is in favour of ending the testing system for the double-jabbed in time for the February break, the report said.
An announcement on the change in guidance would be made on 26 January, the report said.
Coronavirus restrictions in England could be lifted by the end of January, with the Tory party chairman saying he was "hopeful", thanks to "encouraging signs".

After a peak positivity rate of 23% on January 3, it's now 16.3% and Covid-19 hospitalizations have also started to decline, she said at a news conference.
She reported 49,027 new Covid-19 cases, adding that this "is a very positive trend" as the state reported over 90,000 cases just a week ago.

He added that "a consistent set of COVID-19 trends give great hope".

Speaking on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Drakeford denied the move to relax restrictions was a "U-turn", adding: "Not at all. It's really the opposite of that.
What we do in Wales is we follow the science, we follow the data. We make difficult decisions when that is necessary."
