Have to agree with everything you’ve said there, makes sense really, other than penalising the directors on their incentive schemes they really wouldn’t have any chance trying to make private share holders pay into compensation. Still believe the compensation won’t be big though, everyone who took a loan out bar as far as I recall the ones after JB left was scrutinised. He did say that there were a few, but if 75k of people made false statements to get a loan who is at blame ! Yeh sure compensate correctly but as far as giving everyone a set amount it sets the wrong tone. It will go against them as long term lenders with 75k of claims. Good post Isa Inv
Agree with that but aren’t we talking about a sum of money for the whole repayment that I thought we’d already put aside ? Someone put this up a few months back that the average payout would be low and potentially well save on the deal. Any truth in that ? Sorry I can’t remember who posted it.
I’ve used the FCA 3 times, 3 times I had an absolute dead cert clear cut case and each time they chose the easy route for themselves. I see no power in the FCA, if they’re not even turning up at the court I’d take what they say with a pinch of salt. 95% is a huge result and 75k votes gives a relative number of cases Amgo will have to deal with. As JB said yesterday 99% of claims are from people who lied upon application. I think this will be a lot less of an issue than we all think. 75k x average payout ?
Said I had no idea how they work Franky so they work backwards so roughly what do you think ? Yeh 2022 is only 6 months away ! I’d be surprised if it was tbh. As I’m not looking at selling my interest is solely on the dividend unless it hits £1 then I’d evaluate.
I’ve seen a lot of keyboard warriors in the past, albeit I haven’t seen what went in with Vinson, he’s answered them back the best way possible. Well done and good luck. Its a newsgroup not a playground.
At the moment the dividend is suspended, however the last payment date the payout was 9.35 and share price was at the time 63.20 I believe. With that in mind we are now at roughly half that with potential to reach it very quickly. I guess we have a while to go and we could be at £1 by the time it’s re introduced so do we assume dividends are worked on par ? I’ve no idea how they are worked out but 15p would be massive, 9.35 would be nice. Does anyone know how they work them out ? I’ve never looked into it tbh. Cheers in advance.
If you have borrowed from Amigo, you did so because they were the best (possibly the only) option for you at the time. By voting No (or not voting) you’re closing that door for others in the future. Only a Yes vote gives U.K. borrowers a chance of the best options in the future.
