Sean Day was famously quoted as saying he’d only pay $1 for Telfer. I think he’s done a better deal than that. He decided to pay US$475 with a nice little sweetener thrown in of US$587.5M, that’s definitely a win win in my book.

Please explain to us all just what you’ve achieved in life, probably SFA because you’ve always been too scared to take a chance. Well we’re now a few weeks into the start of a new term, and there’s certainly been a few ruffians with attitude’s that have assembled in the playground as of late.

It’s a good job that some of the senior’s here are trying to keep them in check, as it’s a bit like reading the “Dandy & Beano”, with “Lord Snooty’s” gang pitched against “The Bash Street Kids” at present.

As in most intakes of new pupils, it’ll be the quiet ones at the back we’ll need to watch out for.

Aimingtoplease, I wouldn’t say Newmont were feeling too uncomfortable regarding the deal they have negotiated with GGP.

In fact when you read the small print, the shares allocated to them @ 0.048p worth £128M will be worth at least a £192M if they decide to sell their allocation to Wyloo at a 50% premium, as stated in the RNS. If they decide to keep hold of their shares the who knows what they might be worth.

We have always mentioned a Win/Win scenario in regards to GGP, but I personally think Newmont have trumped our Win/Win, with their own. Only time will tell just how much Newmont eventually get for their stake in Telfer/Havieron. One thing I can deduce from the available documents is m it’ll be a helluva lot more than the US$475M dollars we first thought they’d get.

As is usual, It’s always in the small print.

NaughtyNeil, unfortunately I was on a right downer last night, having seen my beloved Rugby team humiliated 38-0 in the semi-final of The Grand Final.
