This in an extract from a document that was at the time (1995) confidential, from NCM to the Department of Minerals and Energy, Period ending 31-12-1995

In summary, at Havieron, the 1991-1992 and 1995 drilling has succeeded in demonstrating the likely presence of a Large Gold-Enriched mineralised system hosting, at least in part, moderate-grade (10 - 15 g/t Au) + sulphide bearing hydrothermal breccia and vein type mineralisation, albeit beneath +420m of post-mineralisation cover. Given the high degree of difficulty of locating high-grade (20 g/t Au) structurally and lithologically controlled zones beneath such thick cover, it is reccommended that exploration of this prospect be deferred (but not forgotten) until other shallower targets in the Ankatell project area and the broader Telfer district have been tested.

So it looks like they already knew back then what was at Havieron. It does make me chuckle to think back then that they thought 15-20 g/t Au was only moderate grade and nothing under 20 g/t Au considered high grade. Oh how times have changed.

Redleader1 I think you are a little misguided by what GH did for GGP.
He no doubt put us on the map regarding his professionalism in giving very good interviews with a cheeky grin on his face knowing what he knew.
But I do think it is a little unfair to tarnish Shaun Day in such an early stage of his management of GGP.
It’s like trying to compare the next manager of Man Utd after Sir Alex.
They where always going to get ripped to shreds by the supporters and I’m afraid that is exactly what you are doing.
The fact that SD owns no shares that we know of doesn’t mean he isn’t fully committed to the cause.
Let’s be honest when it comes to GH, he didn’t actually pay for any of the shares he held did he.
SD has options at I think are around 22p (I’ve had plenty to drink) so can’t remember exactly.
One thing I do know is that in the short time SD has been in charge he has single handedly put together one helluva team.
I think over the next couple of years he will ad significant value to what GH left us with.
We are on the same side but I do disagree with your thinking towards SD.

You may have noticed that Greatland Gold's share price moved up about 25% overnight and I would attribute that to Newcrest's announcement that they will be announcing a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) on October 12, 2021.

Normally, announcing a PFS is considered to be a very material event in the life of a company (in this case, mainly referencing Greatland Gold as Newcrest is much bigger so this event is less material for them) so I'm assuming that the market's reaction overnight is that it is taking it as a very positive commitment and step forward in building this new deposit in to a mining operation.

I, obviously, expect this PFS to be very positive because of the good grades of gold and copper and most importantly, because a big expensive mining complex does not need to be built for this new operation as Newcrest will just load all the rock onto big mining trucks or conveyor belts and transport it a short distance to their already producing Telfer Mining Complex in Western Australia.

After just watching again Frazer McCorquodale's presentation, it was interesting to hear his thoughts about the Eastern Breccia and what they now think could be another North/West corridor just like we have running through the already drilled orebody that we know of already.
This could be the next Havieron within Havieron that they keep mentioning. and he says that they are drilling and testing that concept now. That was two month's ago. I wonder how long it would take to prove that theory up ?
Still everything to play for as they say. Up to now we have only seen the opening gambit in what will be an epic game of chess.

I'm not even certain that we are known about to the Pi over in the states. I know we have quite a few funds from the good Ol US of A who are invested here, but I yet to come across any Tex's or Randy's frequenting this BB.
