Boohoo Group PLC (AIM:BOO) is outperforming its online competitor ASOS PLC (LSE:ASC), according to recent industry data crunched by analysts at Jefferies.

The retail trends barometer run by the broker highlighted one observation that has become apparent through February, “is the outperformance in external data that Boohoo is enjoying versus ASOS.”

According to the numbers, Boohoo recorded a negative run-rate of 16% on the barometer in the final quarter of 2022, improving to -7% in January and flat by early February.

In comparison, ASOS has seen little change, running at -21% from October to December, -17% in January and -19% in early February.

The proprietary barometer is created using web traffic, app downloads, active app users, and search data, with sources including SimilarWeb, SensorTower, and GoogleTrends.

Got to expect a pullback in SP now just don't be to disheartened as it has had a good run. I still expect it to reach around 1.30 by the summer but short term pullback to about 90p expected let's see

MEDI technically there is a gap to fill at 93p. Dont shoot, the messenger and nothing goes up in a straight line. Rolls will be higher in time I fully believe that I just think u need to expect a pullback after the kind of rise we've had.
Can see the shooting star candle from Friday on the daily chart as well as anybody which when foming after a good run its a signal of the trend changing albeit temporarily I feel

It's quite funny seeing you deny that's you on twitter... All the history on there matches up to lse, every share posted on by both accounts on the same days....

Outlook bleak

How's the 90p gap on RR you forecast alde?? The burn seems to keep burning over there....

Vcb2 read my post again... I'm not bothered who goes short and who goes long, the company needs to perform - it's that simple.

However i was pointing out that it's not as straightforward as shorters increasing when one of the previous major shorters has a long TWICE the size of the total short.

Cooler i don't believe they have been meeting with institutions, they said the same thing last time and look how the vote went.... When they say they have consulted large share holder's they could just mean mahmud.

Although institutions are privy to inside information as they have to make an agreement to go on the insider list which effectively stops them from buying or selling at specific times.

I hope there is a revolt, they will have revamp the deal to start at at least 200p....

Vcb2, the short position here was at 10 percent, it is now half of that, the main shorter citadel now has a long of 8.9 percent....

Retail sales had a surprising lift in January, driven by shoppers taking advantage of online deals post-Christmas, according to ONS.

Non-store retail, which predominantly comes from online retailers, experienced a sales rise of 2% in January, with promotions boosting activity.

Despite the sales rise, the proportion of retail sales made online fell to 25% in January, down slightly from the 25.7% in December.

There's only so many times you can push your luck shorting a stock that's 85 percent off it's high with a great underlying business.... They may keep nibbling away with 5 or 10 percent gains but the burn can and will be a lot worse.

This will at some point have a far bigger day than Rolls Royce had today.... The RR burn isn't over yet either...

Cooler, i believe the company need to put out a more detailed plan of the scheme... The current rns is riddled with inconsistencies

They say the total award achieved under the scheme at 395p is £175 million with 6 percent dilution which is wrong.

395p share price gives market cap of 5 billion and 6 percent of 5 billion is not 175 million!

At 395p John Lyttles shares will be worth in the region of £90 million - way above the £50 million stated!
