For a start, Shein needs to be much clearer about why it wants to float at all. Tang has downplayed standard reasons such as raising cash or giving early investors an exit. Instead, he has talked about the benefits of “enhanced transparency” — a phrase that raises as many questions as it answers.

Videos of shoppers unveiling a “huge haul” of Shein goods can get thousands of views on TikTok. But so too can clips comparing what shoppers were promised to the disappointing products delivered.

I've said all along - it was an exit strategy for currently locked in shareholders of Shein to try and pass their junk onto the uk market.

Frasers aren't buying because they believe today's price is fair value.... They're buying because they know it's cheap.

It's been a long time coming but growth is back in the sector and especially online clothing up 10 percent !!

We already know debenhams is doing well.... It will be a big driver here.

The company have already said in their market updates that they are seeking profitable growth.

I don't believe Mike Ashley is investing to make a bid, you have a chairman and family with a huge amount of skin in the game - that sets it apart from companies like asos etc. I've said before that Mike will make profits above a billion across boohoo and asos with his investments.

I would advise anyone here to attend the next agm - no matter how far you have to travel it will be worth your while.

I did a near 400 mile round trip today and it was totally worth it.
