ladder to success for Stroll?4 Oct 2020 10:13
I have had this whisper in my head for a while and I would like to share this with you guys and get your thoughts. I believe that the SP has done exactly what Stroll wanted it to do, I have divided it into 3 phases:
June 90p phase. SP was ENGINEERED to hit 90 hence Stroll could then have the dilution at a discount.
August 80p phase. SP was ENGINEERED to hit 80 hence Stroll could have his dilution again.
September 50s phase. SP is ENGINEERED to stay at around 50p and the question is what is in Stoll's mind this time?
And this is the whisper in my head, "perhaps privatisation" is not that far fetched and this is why:
Stroll could have tried to take the company private earlier on but then:
He couldn't have taken the extra funds from the dilutions
He didn't have his team in place.
He wasn't exactly sure about the DBX performance and the future of the company.
He is now in a much better position to make this decision and hence trying to keep the SP reasonable low. I am being a devil's advocate and I really hope that this is not the case, but the theory seems sound and my observation points to this conclusion.
What do you think?
