Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
I fear this lot will get indigestion I'm afraid and take on more than they can cope with.
DX and Tuffnell's share some of the same customers who will simply send their freight to DX.
Back to entire trailers not getting released due to capacity problems
I can only say for a fact that staff or being trained in readiness for a new depot opening shortly in the midlands this much is true
Whilst there can be no doubting the Credentials of the Chief Executive the Group as a whole seems to be out of it's depth when it comes to working with and communicating with the city. I used to work with an Engineering Company called Hill & Smith who's CEO was purely there to work with investors and grow the business with huge success and massive growth to the share price. He had little commercial knowledge of the businesses in the group but under his watch the shares multiplied.
Not just driver shortages several trailers (20+) not tipped at Manchester depot last week with knock on effect for days. Warehouse staff in short supply too. Will probably get shouted down but this is the real life situation at present.
Yes from a very low starting point the shares have reached around their true value. Next 12 months will be critical. Feel free to believe its all sunshine and roses. Nothing in any of my posts is untrue
It appears nowhere near enough. Freight not getting loaded until 3-4 days after receipt because of "no room on the vehicles" Branch Managers with years of experience leaving, key customer service personnel leaving. Companies are accepting that it's a buyers market out there and tiny or no wage increases over the last five years beginning to bite. Those vacancies on the website not all down to expansion there's a lot of running to stand still and in the short term will only escalate.
Here's what customers are saying on the other company page..
RE: DX group24 Jun '21
Well, if it is of any consolation, my company switched to DX last year as our usual provider was re-locating and needed to fit out very large premises and unable to rent alternative space while commissioning work was undertaken. DX had been wooing us for the last 3 years and were commissioned for the work.
We will not be using DX again. Their "next day" service is at best viable for 70% of packages, instances of breakages and "stock evaporation" have soared and their booking system is terrible. When we have large orders that need to be collected, invariably a van of insufficient size is sent and staff turnover is high. Staff are invariably inquisitive on the nature of our work which is impertinence. Our local manager is aware of the issues, things have been escalated every couple of weeks and is now managed from somewhere in Leicestershire. Not a lot of good to a rural part of Mid Wales. And while a holding email to say that managers are aware of the issues and implementing improvements during this summer, that is too little and too late.
So.... although there might be decent enough revenues flowing through the company, the service is atrocious, with 30% of packages mis routed (including those to the same address). Critical items scheduled for a timed next day delivery is shocking.
Good luck to anyone owning shares in this outfit. I wonder how many other enterprises are in the same boat as us.
Not totally sure but there is a listing DX.GB.PL (DX Group) on Aquis and also another listing DX. (DX PLC) with different prices on the shares
There is a company sharesave scheme out in January
Full year results out 24th September....Lets wait and see
All I am hearing is redundancies in admin staff, holiday policy changes because the performance is always **** poor over bank holiday weeks, Tufnol's sales people being poached. Will yield small beans and won't fix the underlying problems in the business I'm afraid.
Operations is the companies weakness. Too much reliance on none English speaking operatives working on the deck who can't read labels, etc. This will be sorted out early days by this team who won't be fooled by excuses
I am only hearing good things about the company prospects. The directors are signed up and intent on turn around by Christmas.
