You don't need to live there to support the application. I live in Rural North Shropshire and , like Rodders , own a substantial amount of these. The negative crap people post on here , just to make a few bob , or have some huge chip on their shoulders , is just staggering. You wonder sometimes if we're dealing with adults or not !

I have just registered my support for the HH planning application with Surrey CC. I would urge others to do the same. A short extract from the executive summary heading the application statement. Looks good! " SUMMARY Decision-makers must have regard to the Development Plan when determining a planning application1 . The Surrey Minerals Plan (2011) is the Development Plan document of prime planning importance with minerals Policy MC12 – Oil and gas development, being the dominant consideration. The proposed development achieves a high degree of compliance with the Surry Minerals Plan, its dominant minerals policy and all other minerals policy engaged with no material policy conflict identified; a benefit that weighs significantly in favour of consent. The proposed development is in general compliance with the local planning policies of the Reigate and Banstead Core Strategy (2014) and achieves a high degree of compliance with the saved polices of the Reigate and Banstead Borough Local Plan (2005). When read as a whole, the proposed development achieves a high degree of compliance with the local planning policies; a benefit that weighs significantly in favour of consent. There are other material considerations in this case; the most material being:  the existence of a fully formed and operational well pad with existing wells at the Site; and  the confirmed discovery of viable hydrocarbon reserves at the Site. Retention of the Site is the best environmental option and the most sustainable solution. The impact assessments and environmental reports submitted in association with the planning application find that the Site can acceptably accommodate further hydrocarbon development without any significant adverse effects. Onshore oil production generally involves low transport impacts. One oil road tanker can typically transport around 300 barrels of oil. Oil production of around 300 barrels of oil per day would therefore only require one visit to the site per day by an oil road tanker. Oil produced in the South of England is typically transported to the Fawley Oil Refinery near Southampton. It may be possible to export the oil by pipeline, as is the case at Wytch Farm, thus removing completely the requirement for road tanker access.
