So its all just magical...... So why does shorting suppress share prices? I agree the buy/sell data can call it wrong on some low volume shares. I have seen that on my own transactions in AIM. However, I think it is indicative where Market Makers are forced to raise the price.
2 shares bought to every 1 share sold today, suggests the share price will go up and so far today it has. Since I bought in very recently I am in profit and so I feel this is the reason. If a share is undervalued then the price is moved upwards over a period of time. Market Makers will clock the trend and move the price up on a purely supply and demand basis. IMHO.
Buys 18M Sells 5M FIs noting the value here. Cold weather is good for energy sellers and this has production of oil and gas as well. Oil price is going up. Rise to 2 by Interims next month, imho.
Doubled my holding today. Looking forward to Interims in February. Come on, cold weather = more profit. Simples.
And there we have it, positive on all fronts. I especially like the news on Argos integration and theBlack Friday sales news. Habitat mentioned too.
Thanks for that, explains the sharp rise in anticipation today perhaps. I shall check early doors.
I think SBRY will release good figures ala Morrisons, who do not have an Argos feeding into results. Tesco tomorrow and SBRY on Thursday.
Cheers J, I am happy to stay the same as you as I in bought just before XD. DV has been reinvested today, putting me ahead. If I see a profit, then I shall take it and return later in 2018. My strategy is to play with stocks in the shorts crosshairs.
Shake the shorter stranglehold off of this. I think the Argos move will prove beneficial. Anecdotally my local stores, small, medium and large seemed very busy of late in the run up to the holiday. I have bought on the assumption and I shall sell on the news on 11th January.
Thanks, so two days for the BOD to delight everybody who is invested here, as I am.
What’s up men in shorts icy blasts and crowded SBRYs outlets bothering you? The shoppers are returning from Liddl Aldi nightmare.
Please go forth and multiply or go and Twitter your cr4p somewhere else. let’s have facts here. What has changed? Where’s the rig? Revised estimate of some news? BOD Please provide an update.
Yesterday £5M bought, £2M sold. Price did not rise. Are the ones in shorts feeling a draft?
payment? About time we got that settled ind get some divvies here. Come on McEwan, get a move on like when you sent 15000 jobs down th broadband to India.
down. SBRYs are holding their margins and inflation is raising prices and margin in the stores. The convenience stores become part of our buy your dinner and cook it fresh life style. Argos are now moving in to the large footprint stores. This Xmas, I believe, will show in the sales stakes. I meant short although they are probably doing some of that tonight too.
Moving up today, rising again tomorrow. Big deal in the offing or just pre-Xmas rise on good 2018 prospects?
Mike Coupe declares "Customers can shop at Sainsbury's knowing they get good value every day without having to wait for products to be on promotion." My observation in the stores does not bear this out, there are lots of items that follow a pattern of price offers today. In my local Sainsburys examples are Choco Liebnitz biscuits, Walkers crisps, Special K and many others. I buy when the biscuits are a 1 and they then return to 1.80 the next week, same with the crisps and cereals. Come on Mr Coupe, get out and check the shelves. Aldi are across the road from my main store and their car park is full.
Hi O, Diversification? APF multiple investments. DUKE one. To invest more DUKE will need to raise more capital and anyway why not invest directly in an established cruise company? Cheers!
You are having a laugh mate. No comparison to APF having invested everything in 3 riverboat cruise ships. APF is much more diversified and invests for the future, like recent Cobalt play. The next results will show divs growing.
Not if we have had a quarter like LLOY. This share is 1 up in the last 12 months and the main thing outstanding is the US Justice Dept. settlement. Then a dividend. Onwards and upwards!
