You are the exact target of these shakeouts. You can't make the big gains if you can't handle these swings in high risk/high reward shares.

Seems like there's a large amount of investors in here that would genuinely prefer a worse business with a higher sp over a better business with a lower sp. Too many people wanting quick, large rewards with very low risk.

You've got me thinking here Zelos. I wonder how things would be if the number of shares held and purchase/sell history was publicly viewable in real time against your name. Can only chat when you have shares, sell and you are out. Interesting idea.

The issue, psychologically speaking, with a falling sp (assuming no plans to sell in the short/medium term) is the fear that it doesn't rise up again. If you have conviction in the company, the journey and what you are invested in, then those fears are probably unfounded. We naturally fear the unknown, but we are irrational beings, just like the market sometimes.

I think it's the blockchain that is the real game-changer with crypto, not necessarily the individual coins.
Personally, bullish on both crypto & gold in the next decade.

This changed a few months ago and they were pretty up front about it to be fair. I recall they sent a few emails out and you had to confirm in app that you agreed to this (loaning shares).

Fun fact - Apple has lost over 70% of its value 3 times during its history.

I may be completely off the mark here, but it sounds as if you are not in a solid enough financial position to be investing at this stage, not just in high risk mining but in the market in general.

Personally, I'd have a minimum of 3 months living expenses (ideally at least 6) tucked away somewhere quickly accessable and safe.
I'd be completely debt free.
I'd have a time horizon of a minimum 3 years, ideally 5 and even more ideally 10.

If any of those are not met, then I don't think investing in the markets at all is wise, as you run the risk that you unfortunately have found yourself in. Time is the secret weapon to make money in the market.
