Watching the ProInvestor video earlier in the week I focussed on Dimitry talking about dividends, particularly his need to see a payback on the £1m he put in around 2008 at 5p/share.
I can't see the share price as being around those levels in 2008 but I do note (from the last accounts) that there are around 143m of 4.9p "preferred shares" in issue, in addition to the £2.4bn ordinary shares.
In the pecking order of shares, dividends are paid to the preferred shareholders BEFORE the ordinary shareholders - was this was what he was alluding to in the interview? ie the £50m available for dividend will go to the directors as holders of the preferred shares, leaving us with nothing?
