eat Western Mining Corporation PLC (AIM - GWMO, Euronext Growth - 8GW) is pleased to announce that it has poured first gold and silver and produced a doré bar as a pilot exercise using material from test spoil heaps on its Mineral Jackpot property in Mineral County, Nevada. The success of the trial proves the concept of being able to extract gold and silver from up to 12,000 tons of material available from 38 spoil heaps on the property.

Mcadder, absolutely and although the levels in the Tailings RNS were off the scale high they could well be in the ball park across the heaps as they were mined in the very early 1900's. These guys would literally follow a visible vein of gold through the rock as fast as they could and discard anything that didn't have distinct visible gold in it what they discarded in overall tonnage could well be just as rich in AU as what they recovered. They shifted 1000's tonnes of material but only processed a few 100 tonnes of the very highest bearing material.

During the early to mid 1800's gold rush most mining in the USA was Placer which is either small scale panning or larger scale water jetting operations. Later operations into the early 1900's involved milling but crudely as the machinery at the time was big , limited and expensive.

10+ decades ago, they had very basic mining and extraction methods and hit 77g a tonne. With modern techniques you could achieve upwards of 50% greater recovery. I am no mining expert but over 100 yrs ago surely levels of AU within rock that were not visible to the naked eye would have been completely missed and unrecoverable as they did not have the ability to crush, refine and extract that we do today.
These old timers were following very distinct and strong veins of gold through the rock, all other material was discarded to spoil heaps. It may have received some crush and washing but very rudimentary, certainly no where near what can be achieved with modern milling and heap, leach, gravity etc extraction methods

ORE WAS SHIPPED IN 1908. THE MINE WAS WORKED MAINLY FROM 1905 TO 1911 WITH LATER REOPENINGS. SOME MINING WAS DONE ABOUT 1920. IN 1936 AND 1937 MUCH OF THE ACTIVITY OF THE AUSTIN SILVER MINING CO. WAS CONCENTRATED HERE AND SOME ORE WAS MILLED. THE MINE IS ONE OF THE FEW THAT CONTAINS ENOUGH GOLD TO BE OF COMMERCIAL INTEREST. THE RICHEST AVAILABLE ASSAY SHOWED 2.48 OUNCES OF GOLD AND 365 OUNCES OF SILVER TO THE TON.

A specialised tracked vehicle is offloading material from selected spoil heaps in 2-tonne batches and will deliver 25 tonnes during October. 500 kilograms of material will be head-assayed and then sent to a laboratory in Sparks, Nevada for leach-testing, with a matching sample of 130 kilograms simultaneously air-freighted to a laboratory in the UK where it can be tested in parallel so that the results can be compared and verified

A sample load of material taken from test spoil heaps at Mineral Jackpot was air-freighted to the UK towards the end of 2020 and initial laboratory coarse bottle roll leach tests indicate that optimum leaching conditions are obtained when the material is crushed to 9.5mm in diameter. Following this, a static column leach test is now being performed in the lab, based on the parameters established from the bottle roll test. In addition a gravity release analysis will corroborate the gravity separation pilot operation in Nevada from which first precious metal was poured at the end of December. Final gravity test results are expected in the next 2 to 3 weeks with preliminary results from the column test following on. These results will together be used to help determine optimum methods for processing and sustainable commercial production of precious metals.

Surely they removed material from all over the Tailing heaps and the results are the combined average........................

Genedrive test claims have been independently verified in a U.S lab! Nowt wrong there! Its FDA being swamped with requests!

so we got some volume back lol. Once the weak are gone maybe we can move forward. The bad news hopefully is now behind and with some good we could be back over a £1 in a flash. GLA
