Why no dividends? This was the moment i was waiting for. I have cut half my holdings now. With sadness as I have been invested here for years and before current management. Who have done a remarkable job. However, without shareholder returns now, to me this becomes a minimum 5 year investment before possible returns and good luck forecasting gold prices over that period.
JHFH, you do put out a large volume of what is essentially hot air. Hemogenyx didn´t know better than us when it raised the convertible debt a few years ago. I sold out at around 7p and bought back in around 2p.
Dhub, I wouldn´t read too much into Prevail paying over the odds for the shares. The share price paid is part of the larger scope that actually involves Hemo paying out to a Prevail affiliate over the life of the P1 clinical trials. So I see the share price paid as not very relevant to Prevail´s view of the company. I dont know much about how these types of relationships are structured but it definately more complicated than a simple share purchase.
This sentence from the RNS says alot: The subscription funds will in large part defray the payment made by the Company for the first stage of the work being undertaken by InfoWorks under the MSTA.
The only issue I can find is this:
Tax & Royalty
• The Company has an income tax holiday until July 2022. From July
2022 mining license terms entitles Philippine government to a
minimum 50% of net cash revenue via income tax, VAT, import
duties, excise tax, and other business rates/taxes. Excise tax rates
are 4%.
So I take it that once that debt is repaid, shareholders will have to share profits with the tax man. This is from the Feb 2022 investor presentation. If true, the company would be incentivised to invest money rather than paying out to shareholders. Thoughts anyone?
Yes i am a long term investor but i dont follow this company very closely. I dont pretend to understand the risk/reward nature of this company. I did ask the question in good faith and i am surprised that Vlad would claim something is far off the truth. I think generally that he is very honest and competent and that this company is a good long term hold. But why he claims that Hemo is saving lives now is beyond me.
Anyone know what came of the practice at Harley Street that years back was ear marked to treat the first patient . A SPAC will probably want to understand all the history behind AVO going back years. Will mean taking up quite a few carpets no doubt. I would imagine that AVO have put the feelers out already to the big boys in proton therapy. No takers. No one is interested. Makes me wonder.
I own Echo. Not much and not really worth the effort to sell at such a loss. 90% down or something like that. This is a company that last posted an operating loss of almost a third of revenue. It was only FX tailwinds that pulled the net loss back. All this at a time of high oil and gas prices. Even if the company did make a profit, that money would go into most exploration and risk. So shareholders wouldnt see any returns for a decade. I don´t see how anyone would want to invest here. Happy to be convinced otherwise.
The Jan 18 RNS gives the clearest picture yet of AVO´s approach to manufacturing the LIGHT system. The intend to 3d print some of the components and the rest of the components come from 850 different suppliers. Did I read that correctly? They are ordering the parts off Alibaba and then have a few chaps in Danesbury with a mechano set putting the machines together. This is their manufacturing process? Incredible. I remember the talk years ago of Thales being the manufacturer. What a let down. Plus a massive dilution coming down the track, no wonder the sp is going south.
Well that was disappointing. No mention of gow they will build these machines. Finance and capital raise comes later, but how to produce multiple machines or at least plan of hiw to get there. Almost seems that the machine actually working came as a complete surprise. Now they are running around wondering what to do.
Anyhow, 2 years till CE and first patient treatment (usual delays and slippage is par for the course) is too long to me. I dont know how much of a difference this FLASH tech makes but the actual size cost advantage has slipped a lot. Cyclotrons are now much smaller and cheaper. Look at Varian. Not sure about this company.
Has the company confirmed where these machines willbe manufactured? I went through some previous recent RNSs and didnt find any mention. I cant imagine the BOD was as surprised as I was that their machine works. So surely they have a manufacturing process in place? Not Thales i would imagine. Hopefully the update on Friday will adress this and also the state of play with potential customers.
By any measure, Summer is now firmly over. I cant imagine anyone who knows this company actually expected news by Summer end.
I expect them throw investors a "during Q4" bone, ans then to waste more money on a Hardman "research" report telling us how lucky we are to be invested. Or an equity raise. Or both.
I am a long term holder Mr India but I saw the convertible bond disaster and sold out before. In fact, I saw the Covid spike as short term and was out around the 10p stage. The conv bond just helped send the share price lower and quicker.
But all this is noise around what the core company is about. So for me I am happy to stay long and pateient.
And also to spare a thought for the mess that Vlad got himself into. At some stage during the past two yeasr his holding in Hemo was worth around 15 million pounds. Now he is sitting at under 600k with his 40 million shares. Thanks of course in large part to his skilful dilution through the convertible bond disaster.
So from 15 mil to under 600k. That´s a big drop. In a very short space of time. And that is besides all the value he lost for everyone else including Alexis.
So for me, if he can stay positive through all this then I am happy to hold with patience.
In Sep 2021 the system would be ready by year end but maybe slip into Q1 2022.
In Dec 2021 it would be ready by end of Q1.
Then it would be during summer 2022.
Then it would be end of summer 2022.
I can go back for many years with this. My point is it wont be ready end of this summer. And probably wont be this year. I am guessing the next update will push it to year end. And so it continues. Very frustrating.
The latest RNS now states "the end of summer". Nice little change from the "during summer" given in June. Classic AVO shifting sands. Makes me want to watch Michael Sinclairs " it will be ready by 2016" video again.
Still there might be something in this company. Just because the BOD are dishonest doesnt mean the core is rotten.
Not exactly a stellar growth projection though is it, iWant. 12%.
Part of me wants to put potential investors off this company and save them the frustration I have been though. To be clear, I sold out last year and have no intention of getting back in. But I wish investors good fortune with this. I admire the scientists behind the technology and of course, any life saving tech should be welcomed.
