Looks like the ftse is going to plummet this week with the bank of england looking to raise the rates again as an emergency. More money going to the banks profits. We are definitely looking at RR in the 60s from tomorrow. Fun times ahead! :-/

Your right metom. Tomorrow will be another drop in the ftse. I think it'll be a couple of days before the dust settles to see a small rise. We really need some good news from RR to get the sp back up

I really don't understand why it's so slow to get this done in this country. It says it takes 4-5 years to build and the current UK government says by 2040 and Labour says by 2030. If they want to provide cheaper affordable energy, they could get this started by next year and up and running by 2028. Are there any other countries that have approved this with RR sooner? I read the Netherlands were talking about this with RR. As soon as there is news of something approved, the sp will fly

Looking back at previous drillings; we should get an update around the beginning of next month. Usually there is a 10 day gap from when the drill commences. I would of thought 2 - 3 months, maybe longer for full results to come back. It's alot of work and probably delays will happen

I read the daily star for a laugh. I understand that we all want an equal life and take the money from the rich to the poor. I always hated the man. That's why I think this country needs a woman in charge, but that still doesn't put us back to a strong country. We need more money to be put back into the country and that means more people need to spend more. If we are taxed more and have higher bills, we don't have money to put back out into the shops and businesses that need it

So MC your the expert. Tell us how you would lower inflation and put money into the country and not back to the hmrc and raise the pound and the RR share price while we're at it :p

By the way I'm not a tory and voted for non brexit. But no party is perfect. I just think less tax is better than higher tax that goes back to the tax office

If you ever go into weatherspoons it's full of people on benefits. I am from an area originally that was voted one of the biggest for single mothers and majority were on benefits. I have personal experience of being mixed in with people in council estates and lived on one. This is my personal knowledge and don't think things have changed much. Anyway. The more money high end earners make, the more that is invested in companies or put back into the country in businesses, shops etc. Was things on high tax and higher NI any better? More money going to the government instead

Not all the newspapers are saying its a risk. The guardian is, but they aren't giving their extra tax free allowances and bonuses to the poor people they so call stand for (hypocrites) nor the politians from the opposition who will also benefit from paying less tax. It may seem a bad idea now and im far, far, far from being rich. But the more money the high end earners have, the more it gets invested back in places like RR and put back into the country. Are you telling me people on low incomes aren't spending their money still on alcohol and cigarettes or back into shops haha! I think if the government raised the tax instead and didn't freeze energy bills people and the press would still complain. Its in our nature. We just need to wait for the dust to settle and see what happens. Fingers crossed for the sp in the weeks to come

I agree with you sundance. It's all looking positive. The only thing that is keeping us down at the moment is the shorters. They don't like the sp going up and positive news unfortunately. I think they would be happy if covid came back lol

With the results hopefully coming in around the end of the month, we should see a rise in profits. The sp doesn't reflect this though; not compared to deepverge sp. Gerry doesn't seem to give a **** Do we still think there could be buyout?

If Liz can follow through on her promises and freeze energy bills and with the price of oil where it is; this should be going up further. According to heathrow departures there is plenty of flights going ahead as well

With Russia desperate for volunteers and sending untrained citizens in to fight and the ukraine volunteers being trained by expert army's; I don't see this war going on for long. As soon as its over, the sp will be flying again

The samples from molopo farms were at 1.69% NI. Anything around that would be great; but if its 1.80% NI content or more; We are looking at the sp flying in multiple amounts

Dropping; but flights are still going and BA are making money as usual. You would think it was covid all over again or there was a ban on all flights the way this is going. So far I've counted 50 BA flights from LHR from 6am until now departed (I must be bored lol)
