Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I opened a short just before the close of play Friday that's how much I believed in the rumour
If there is no substance to the rumour the price will float back down to around 92....
Don't be shocked guys, it was just a rumour on Friday..... it needs to be more fact to get the price up and to stay up.
Closed my short at £1, have longs to close at some point now, hopefully it will go up reasonably today.
99.85 on IG
Anyone have a price?
Anyone saw what the highest last sell price was? The highest buy price as 1.19
Trading212 only showed max price of 1.0156??? so strange
Anyone know what created that sudden price drop across the board at 11:40?
How low can this baby go?
Anyone know the P/E on the share now?
Well, one of my hobbies for the past 1-2 years is seeing how often I can get surprised about how low Boohoo can go, and how much money I have lost holding the shares. Its an interesting hobby that I know many others understand here on this board .
In my opinion there is no point selling out at this level, and best to ride it through....
Shouldn't the big shorts close now?
Surely, its bottomed..... hehe (nervious shocked laugh)
I opened a nice sized spreadbet at 109.7 and 107
Bought in a small trench at 2298. Yes its not rising officially yet but I think its a pretty good buy in point when looking at the charts. Could fall further though.
Anyone know what the P/E ratio is it this point?
I think it will be very hard pushed to go under 20.00 looking at the charts and growth generally of the company, so its very probably close to the bottom. However it depends on the points I listed in my previous post.
Normally it does bounce after results day plunge but the world is a different place now.
The problem is many have bought much higher and averaging down and are having to sweat it out .
This is fine if you want to lock-up your money for sometime.
Clairesmith: No just someone who lost a fortune on Asos and Boohoo because he forgot his risk management listening to too much hype and wishful thinking.
I prefer to be a realist than a dreamer....
Clairesmith: This time there is a large difference, this time we have:
High oil prices,
Inflation for at least one year more,
Rising interest rates coming meaning less spendable household income,
Very expensive shipping costs,
Delayed shipping time,
Highest cotton prices in 11 years,
Continued limited air travel etc
and a big one:
Uneasy market sentiment - with talk of a correction
Sentiment alone can sink a share - we all know that if we want to be honest.
In the long run the share price will recover, but short to midterm there are other companies that could give a more comfortable return on investment.
By the way, I wrote here afew days ago that the price would drop on results day.... and to take care!
You can always buy in again.....
You know everyone what will happen to the share price on results day according to statistics and in the current economic climate. Take care, this share has already cost me a fortune and we all know how bad that can feel.
In the longer term it will be OK, but short to mid-term its not an obvious rosy picture.
Same with Boohoo - cost me a fortune, and has strong headwinds.
@Falklandinvestor: You bought in at 116 at £1k a point? You are brave man in this market condition! What's your stop loss and Take Profit ?
Sorry 58% win rate I meant.
Cain Toad: That's great statistics you have, well done! You swing trade Im guessing.
Investing is longer term so averaging down suits that style much better, trading less so but it depends on your exit window strategy. My stats before I destroyed myself were 1572 trades with a 1.24 return rate and 58% return in 3 months. I was improving that every week but I got sloppy and didnt do my homework due to home comittments. Asos has fallen between 8.48 and 19.11 directly after results calculating to the lowest point before climbing. The last results day was a drop of about 26% working it out to today. I was too lazy to do my homework.... and paid for it.
It is a good share to buy into around here I think though, I just screwed myself already. I need to re-educate myself for a while and come back. Even though I lost the GDP of a small african country today, I feel so much better now that Im out. Maybe I will buy some shares before the end of the day....
