LTI,better add animals to the vaccination list.As a pet loving nation i would have thought this virus has morphed into every animal we have close contact with,especially dogs.
I've also observed dogs don't seem to understand social distancing but not as bad as bats.

Did think, if we get everyone vaccinated by September that should just about give us enough time to re-vaccinate the elderly for winter.

fish was cheap in the 60's and today it has to compete with poultry.800 million chickens alone consumed in UK in 2013 and rest of Europe similar.
I try to only eat meat 3 days a week but do like fish n chips on a friday,remember when chicken was a special dish for Xmas and Easter.

Would think it depends on what revenue comes from trading with Europe.If you are at full capacity then why would you want the extra bureaucracy,if it makes up less than 10% of turnover you might think i don't need the hassle and will trade within my country and if you're a fisherman and 80% of your fresh product goes to Europe i would be thinking of fish fingers.

I wonder after last summer, when we were so close to closing this covid we will again repeat the same mistakes,eat out to help out 100 million meals and a useless test and trace.
We might have lost a 100,000 but we still have millions left to clog up the NHS next winter.
The government would be crazy to let this summer slip by without restrictions - slower recovery than predicted.

i don't think the government would like rates to consumers to remain the same as the whole idea of negative rates is to make borrowing more attractive at zero cost to them.
Incidentally banks will pay for their deposits with the BOE to encourage them to lend and you would think the pound would slip a bit but its currently going the wrong way,GBP now €1.12 is that what they really want?

My mum is 93, had her jab and is nobody's fool but was surprised if this jab will stop transmission why aren't the carers receiving it first?
Lets get this straight,by having the jab it doesn't stop you from transmitting otherwise the carers would have been vaccinated first,all the jab does is protect the individual and depending on your age/background health will reduce the burden on the NHS.

The government is doing it again,paying people grants (benefit) to do nothing.
I would think these educated small business people could help out in the roll out of this vaccination,up to £9000 for 6 weeks work doesn't seem a bad deal to me.
