The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I am not denying that the EPL has caused issues, only the inept will say otherwise. But you seem to be continously banging the same drum without any respite. Almost as if you are being rewarded to do so. Enquest has navigated through many issues and I am sure their management team are all too aware of the points that you relentlessy raise, and i'm confident they are fighting hard to ensure value is optimised.
Stevo Just out of curiosity why are you making such a concerted effort to point out the negative angle and paint such a glass half full picture. Surely you would rather invest your time fiercely crunching numbers in a stock that you didn’t have such a negative opinion of. There’s something very off about you.
Sekford . Misleading.
-AB has never mentioned 2024. He has consistently stated 0.5 and recently said “near future” for shareholder returns.
Please direct us to where he mentioned 2024 or when he has mentioned it won’t be in 2023.
You are right KO. This is the perfect share price to start buybacks. O.5 was ok before, but now the government has kicked us in the nuts Enquest should start buying the cheap shares. Would scare the shorters away too.
Don't forget the billions in tax credits for Enquest!
Hi E3. The paragraph you kindly posted mentions hedging covenants. Please can you point to the part which mentions restrictions to dividends and buybacks. Thank you.
Excellent post MrC. It infuriates me how these clowns have never been near an oil field yet feel they are experts in geology or petroleum physics because they have the ability to write anonymous, long and tedios messages. James Hosie is another such specimen.
Enquest have been faced with a barrage of technical and financial problems and continue to prove the naysayers wrong. They are respected in the oil and gas industry and AB , the ultimate insider, certainly wouldn’t be pumping millions into the company if he believed the sermons of the arrogant sultans of doom who appear from time to time on this message board.
The point here is not about oil prices (we know they have helped us survive and will continue to rise). The problem is how Enquest communicates to its shareholders. It’s awful and disrespectful and the long term holders have been suffering as a result. The Shareprice has performed woefully despite enquest having performed well technically.
It’s not something difficult to fix.
'No show' whinging KO claims he has lost 100s of thousands due to the recent fall in Share Price. Move over Soros, make way for KO. And now he claims he hasn't ever sold a single Enquest share. I believe him. No, really, I do.
Yes it's very obvious because we only see the pathetic moaning when he is short or wants the price to fall to get back in.
Keep trading this but do us all a favour and quit the constant whining.
More times than you.
It was only last week Greta-ting was saying that oil would test the 60s. You seem to have a short memory for someone who owns something like 3 percent of the company yet has never attended an AGM.
And what intelligence you have that you admit to buying so many (cough cough) oil shares based on a faceless anti oil poster on a messageboard.
Yes it is just that. Your opinion.
Covenants are not set in stone and can change as conditions drastically change. And that is exactly what is happening. Restructuring of debt, new assets and high oil prices are all big changes.
Those covenants were safety measures and were needed at the time.
We have to get the OO out the way and announce our FCF to the world.
The share price is undervalued but that is unwelcome but understandable. True value will follow.
Let AB get on with his job and judge him by what the Share Price is in September.
Any announcement of dividends will make your share price projections obsolete. The whole industry is being undervalued and Enq more so than others because of the outdated financials the market has.
There are also other pieces of the jigsaw such as Enquest Producer and potential Joint Ventures and acquisitions which are also yet to be announced.
I don't know why people are so obsessed with Enquest paying debt to made-up figures like 500mn or to zero. AB has told us the debt to EBITDA ratio he will feel comfortable with.
Oil Prices will continue to rise. Divi announcement is around the corner.
Funny how our resident hypocritical eco warrior and cry baby are only 'sceptical' when they have sold!
They will no doubt be less sceptical when they have bought in again!
It looks like the hypocrite eco warrior has sold out again.
Zero credibility.
The partnership with Cairn was always acrimonious. Good riddance to them. Having a new partner is good news for Enquest and could open up new opportunities.
Give it a break L3. You missed out on the start of rise. Don't try to style it out.
And why is it you only post on enquest and not on the other messageboards you mention? Funny that.
You made the wrong call on oil and on Enquest and are now trying (unsuccessfully) to redeem yourself.
Most on here did their own research (not using endless spreadsheets or tanker logs) used common sense, took the risk and have been rewarded.
And it's a good job enquest didn't listen to your advice last year of selling more of their share of Kraken to Cairn. Lol
I think you need to reconsider your career as a trader. Maybe become a tanker tracker?
I doubt many care whether you think its meaningless or not. It is a solid way of comparing different oil companies. And from what Pelle has pointed out, you can see Enquest is still highly undervalued compared to other oil companies and the move by the market to rectify this has only just started.
What an excellent post and end to the week Hmhn .
Oh dear L7. In all the years I've been using these boards, I've never seen anyone get their a$$ handed to them in such a brutal way! Ouch.
