I have stock in two other FTSE 100 companies one reported a billion pound profit with no debt and the other well ahead of market expectations with an increased dividend and they are both down a lot. Yes I agree with Octobers impact on the stock market.

Agreed as generally most investor decisions in times like this are emotionally driven. There is nothing to counter this including any element of rationality.

YOU should sell, as you always seem to be negative about this stock and leave other investors to get on with it.

Lets be clear, the shorters have done a good job here that's whats what they do. The banks to blame - Odey hammered them and they were just as laconic and untimely in their communication as they are now. lets be realistic, they had an opportunity to mitigate or lessen any associated impact on the price. If its correct they cannot even trust their own staff which gave the shorters the ammunition that has caused the recent havoc. I have got shares in metro but now way near the amount that some holders have or the price and will be holding. The board are f.....g card board and Vernons Dog could do a better job.

Possibly, but you would have to question how the information got out as it has decimated the share price.

Agreed............Good customer service but appalling customer relations. I remember when Odey had a large position in this stock shorting it to hell and the banks RNS an communication was absolutely useless. From £.1.50ss sp to this !

If there is something going and they are " conspicuous in their silence " as GLOWACKI has stated I am sure the board would have picked up on any issues and declared it and the directors would have NOT Bought shares in the last several months.

I disagree - I have held plenty of stocks that have been hammered as a result of indirect issues and RNS have not been communicated. Why should they ? Its the nature of the markets. I am sure this stock will recover.

Its bigger than before and subject to the expansion being executed in line with the business plan it will hopefully carry on yielding for investors.

Anyone know know why this is getting hammered despite upbeat retail results from the sector ?
