such a large volume of trades over the last few trading days, and now trading on the ftse100- and not much change in sp. need some help in understandin what is going on here, have only been trading 5months.
why are there no trades showing on iii or londonstockexchange... what is going on??
anyone with l2 able to confirm the 70m sell displayed on this site??
entrance to ftse 100 confirmed today for later this month and complimented by good volume of trades and increase in sp. going to fly imo
is looking pretty crazy this morning, hopefully this will stabilise as a nice rise for the day. SEGRO claim to be the biggest commercial letting business in Europe, and I think they are. The recovery of the property market is important to them (primarilly just to boost the value of the company via the assessts owned), but not vital, as they operate in an (arguably) different market which has not had too much of a negative imact from the recession. I am in profit with this share, but still see the potential for further (large!) rises. Atthough this has been quite volatile the last week or so, I don't think it will be an easy ride, but am hoping this will break 400p in 6months time. If they are floated on the 100 I wil be a happy man indeed. gl all
i love this share and enjoy watching it rise everyday. let it continue!
Thanks for that update. I think a merger is unlikely due to the recent acquisiton of Brixton, which should have cemented funds and made Segro the biggest company in it's fields, but who knows. Expect further rises as property market stabilises and people try to get property close to the Olympics coming up to 2012.
hello, not saying i dont agree, but do you have anything to back it up?!
Thanks for that, I am new to trading so all information is useful to me. This is one of two of my stocks that are in profit, but I am not going to sell yet, as I think that when the property market recovers this will see a massive rise.
hello again, another summary of end of trade today- 1.3m sold in one transaction was the biggest amongst quite a large volume, but sp did not go down. does anyone know why the spread is so large?
hello all, has anyone looked at the massive amount of trading on this share (reported on lse) at the end of trade?? Over £1.5m bought, with one buy of 800k and another of 500k But it barely affected the sp...perhaps mmm's controlling the price? I'm hopeful oga big rise early on tomorrow...
puddyd- Hoodless Brennan are showing at as 276p, where is my extra 2p?! royjohn- I agree, and am very happy to have taken up my entitlement. This share has been steadily rising for the last week, beating the trend of current RIs and consoladtion, and I think is a good long-term investment. GL all
I know what you mean about recent consolidations, i hold shares in MEC and am very happy that I didn't take up the RI there but with this one I just have a gut feeling it will come good in the mid-long term (unlike MEC which I think is doomed).
hello all, hope you're all enjoying the segro ride! was wondering if anyone could help? I took my offer of 10 new shares but now appear to have an option to take another 20...does anyone know if this is the case or am i reading it wrong?
I agree with you and to be frank I expect it the sp to drop quite wildly when the dust settles after the consolidation, but I'm willing to take the risk with this one, I think it will fly. And someone buying just under £1.1m in shares has helped my confidence!
SamSri...no problem, happy to help. goldfish...I have to say I don't know and that makes for an interesting point, but like you I assume it must be the latter option you suggest
I understand your concerns, but look at the positive...by buying out Brixton they are removing their nearest competition, making them the largest commercial renting company in Europe (or thereabouts). Their assests massively outweigh their current reported debt. A significat amount of their property is around the Heathrow area, which should continue to be commercially viable indefinitely. I expect the share price to be quite volatile after consildation, but in a years time this should be worth a lot more than it is now. DYOR of course
Hello there, the new shares will be issued on the 30th July so would imagine consolidation will be soon after. The OO is in effect already. I would reconsider selling them, I think the fact that they are on the rise even with the new shares being bought up is a very positive thing, and they should hold steady after consolidation. puddyd you are right they are being cosolidated at 10/1 with the envisaged SP being 210p after consolidation, but the actual SP will be dictated by the market, as pointed out by RJ. I am taking my offer up today
I have been offered the same amount of shares as you. You don't have to buy them; most people who choose to buy them do so because they have confidence in the company and want the opportunity to gain more shares. I think it will cost you £20 plus any administration fee from your dealer.
...i bought at 45p thinking it had bottomed out, I was clearly mistaken. Have no idea why there was such a sharp drop but am hoping for a recovery over 12months, as FIP is steadily on the rise. Anyone out there with a holding or opinions in this odd little company? Let's get the chat going.
