Consensus is also negative among the analysts and there remains speculation for a dividend cut and ongoing poor consumer numbers BUT it should be clearer about how ofcom must proceed this year if the fibre investment from BT is to accelerate....the buy case is ofcom accept the BT demands on capital returns for fibre and the govt March budget gets to champion better UK plc broadband out to 2025. Positive news by ofcom towards BT this year is what will trigger the push back above 220 and onwards. I am back in for the ride

There is no solution that offers an equity solution. The equity is zero and no matter which way the company turns it will hit a road block

There is simply no scope for recovery where most of the EBITDA is consumed by interest payments, and the remaining margin is likely to be lost due to tighter regulation on ripping off loyal customers.... there are no rewards for owning a stock that has literally had its heart ripped out by private equity. It is a shame that the FCA spend no time reviewing the damage private equity is inflicting on U.K. plc. The AA equity is worth nothing here and the shares will be going the same way of Thomas cook and Debenhams et al. You simply cannot grow your way out of this debt mountain operationally. If there was a glimmer of optimism then the management would have no hesitation in undertaking a rights issue but they know the market will not support this. That said, my suggestion is cancel the dividend entirely and at least try for a deep discounted rights issue. It’s the only way to save this company or at least try

It’s been interesting reading your blindly bullish posts MrFiddler, but finally some one sensible has pointed to obvious course of action required. A significantly discounted emergency rights issue is in my view a certainty if the company is to act responsibly and avoid the dire straits of operational vulnerability derailing the chance for longer term recovery.

There is no chance this company can grow its way out of the debt refinancing time bomb and I suspect the British government is growing impatient after Thomas Cooke and Carillion of being landed with the aftermess. It’s been obvious to me as a seller of this stock for a long while a rights issue is key to saving the AA. Without it the equity is zero in my opinion. As for still paying dividends that is simply unjustifiable and something the FCA and DWP would do well to intervene. And if for a moment you believe the current debt £20m resin cost is anything other than proving the debt has been treated as junk by the bond markets you clearly have no idea of how to read this sad situation. This is a dangerous equity for retail investors to be speculating in. The only recovery here is in the form of a big bright yellow deeply discounted AA rights issue.

Yes of course I am short, as I wass Debenhams and s carillion. If you look at the balance sheet you will see for yourself the companies assets are intangibles, while its debt is real! I have no agenda other than disgust at how this company has been asset stripped, plied with debt and left with an impossible outlook. Paying a dividend under these circumstances is frankly irresponsible but quite why you would think buying a company that cannot sustain its own debt mountain is sensible, then good luck with your investment style. To be frank, a company with £3bn debt and profits of £40m should tell you all you need to know. It is ridiculous that the debt holders have not taken control already since the company should not be paying out dividends when they cannot ever repay the debt.

If any of you bulls know how to read a balance sheet you will see a company with some £3bn of debt and no assets of any worth. In effect this company is in negative equity territory. Hardly a coincidence to note it is now the most shorted stock in the U.K. market. I would love to be optimistic but the maths says the equity here is worthless under any future restructuring. Furthermore it is ridiculous to see the board allowing a dividend to be paid. I predict it will be the last. Any small cap investors reviewing this must understand the balance sheet has crippled this stock. The shares are going to Zero

Plus500 gave a positive trading statement in December only then announce 2 months later losing half its clients, and guiding to materially lower 19 profits! cMC also gave a positive Q3 statement in January but you have to wonder if Plus500 just lost more than half its value on outlook then cmc is unlikely to do much better. I admire your quiet confidence but this is a sector of profit decimation. Short short short all the way on this one, not to mention the overpaid ceo...

Congrats to Purp disrupting market that truly needed competition, but this is not Tesla vs Ford. There are zero barriers to entry and yet Purp is valued as a winner in a housing market that is grinding to a halt. Seems to be a very expensive listing service. Gutted I not owned on the way up but with no barriers to entry see no reason why Purp valuation justified in a market that is so crowded. Certainly interesting international opportunities but risk of spreading themselves very thin. Curiously Purp still not showing how many properties they selling which I suspect is because is negligible. The moment the stat is revealed the reputation and value prospects may indeed falter. Why would anyone own this? Just another British high street name that is hanging on, and while not yet on life support, it is only a matter of time. As shorts go this is a gift that will keep on giving

Strikes me that if Coms PLC can trade at an £80m market cap on no revenue or track record then AN/ is worth a lot more. Fact is AN/ is best in class in this SME telco space and given scale is key I am convinced it is a prime target itself. Meanwhile we have the fabulous dividends to enjoy while we wait. AN/ deserves to trade at a substantial premium to Coms and Daisy in my view
