Interesting development, didn't know scrubber tech is being developed to remove CO2, sounds like Quadrise fuel tech would reduce the scrubber loading due to its cleaner burn characteristics. I wonder if Quadrise speak with scrubber developers on these aspects of their fuel :-

Personally and regardless of the Ums and ahs I found the message to be clear i.e :-
- Initial testing of Patented BioMsar produced better than expected environmental performance
- Future proofing the Company with a lower product/fuel carbon footprint which has been requested by present and past clients
- Symbiotic relationship established with Aquafuel "Great future together"
- Better results than its nearest competitor i.e LNG at a fraction of the cost as BioMsar can plug directly into existing HFO infrastructure without methane slip and the dis advantages with LNG cost infrastructure

Regardless of how it was presented......um..... what's....errr.... not to like about that. I'd say give credit where its due, we are in tough times and this is a positive with so much negativity around. I think I need to top up........

Was reading this bloomberg article and got me thinking, I wonder if the power from the test generator has been hooked up to a bitcoin miner? Could be an exceedingly profitable test of the new biofuel:-

A consortium led by Netherlands-based biodiesel producer SkyNRG will build an alcohol-to-jet (ATJ) production facility at an undisclosed European location.

Agreed Tuck. Hopefully the toxic fuel developments will see the promotion and adoption of greener leaner alternatives fuels such as MSAR by Quadrise fuels and the relegation and eventual demise of the super pollutant toxic fuels pimped by the likes of B.P and other oil majors. Its obvious that B.P did not learn the lessons of the gulf of mexico disaster and are still instrumental in polluting the biosphere....you know....the pale blue dot that supports all life including BP execs on this planet. I'd like to see the IMO taking some initiative here and put a stop to this fuel use and potential for more degradation of our planet. This toxic fuel situation is a gift on a plate to Quadrise, please don't fail us, deliver the lono fuel trials please with the two shippers via the JDA soonest.

The oil was reportedly rushed through for approval by the IMO – the United Nations shipping agency – back in January 2020, and proper safety testing had not been conducted.

VLSFO ship fuel is regarded to be a ‘super-pollutant’ by environmental NGOs, with many groups calling for it to be banned from the Arctic and other parts of the ocean with immediate effect.

As per Forbes, VLSFO currently powers 70% of all large ships across the globe. A least 6% of these ships (3600) are believed to be at risk of engine failure at any given moment.

This is very serious for B.P & the VLSFO:-
Newly released documents reveal that BP was behind the toxic oil involved in the Mauritius oil spill in the Indian Ocean last year. Even more troubling are revelations that BP formally blocked the investigation into the fuel that was being used on board the large Japanese bulk carrier.

Certainly is misdirection IMHO. I suspect the UN Report will gloss over the issue of the toxic Frankenstein fuel or try & tone it down because of the vast large sums of money put into this planet killing fuel. The difficulty for those invested in the low Sulphur fuel S&^t is that the cat is now out of the bag "Shipping Gate & the Toxic Frankenstein fuel"

The Forbes report carries weight along with the reality of the those poor folks in Mauritius who are having to deal with an oil spill like no other owing to the toxicity of the new fuel spilled by the ship grounding. I think the cause of the grounding itself has yet to be detailed but if its a result of poor fuel then that's going to be a double whammy. Thankfully the toxicity has been recognized to a point whereby it use in the Artic is being protested and rightly so, that protest needs to extend to Global use!

The other major implication of the (VLSFO) toxic Frankenstein fuel is the additional CO2 created and dumped into the Atmosphere as a result of the toxic stuff production, this was recognized by a Dutch Shipper Spliethoff, see link below for more info.

In a video to inform its customers (see below), Spliethoff says low sulphur fuels will lead to increased overall CO2 emissions because the production of the refined fuels requires more energy than the production of the heavy fuel oil that can be burned using scrubbers.

Personally I am hoping the new shipping JDA will be with a shipper as environmentally focused or greater than Spliethoff and not the likes of Maersk who only give lip service to environmental stewardship.

With the announcement of lono trials with 1 major shipping company + back to back refinery fuel supply - best guess 5/6p with two shipping companies onboard 7/8p.

As a LTH here I'm confident that the new LONO will be delivered. The devil will be in the details, I'm very interested in what detail will encompass this JDA. If this is a strong agreement then I'm sure this will lift the S.P considerably to be able to raise further funding, if the LONO JDA has significant merit/strength of commitment then it will bring in fresh funding and even a LTH such as myself will dig deeper into the pocket especially given developments in Morocco which again I'm confident will pay dividends. Utah and the likes are presently stocking fillers (pardon the pun) again which I have confidence will develop through 2021. I have personally invested significantly here, they say a fool and his money are easily parted.......those who know me know that I'm not a fool!
