RE: Last year mining at Elizabeth Hill with Legend7 Feb 2026 23:18
Furthermore
I don't know if it had been discussed previously.Corrections welcome.
* Silver extraction
Legend mining Jorc 1999 at Elizabeth Hill was 4.05 million ounces of silver.
Historical extraction, to 2000, was 1.2 million ounces.
Remaining silver in place is 2.85 million ounces.
Gross value of remaining silver is $220 m , net $160m
Legend only recovered at 200 g/t of silver for the economics.
Silver price today will mean 50 g/t silver is good to go and that means open pit mining is possible
Cases of silver mines in Australia running 60% margin on some 50g/t -100 g/t mines.
* Tonnage
Legend extracted 17,000 t @2136 g/t from Elizabeth Hill
30,000t remained
If open pit is possible than another 500,000 t is possible at 50 g/t, this rate becomes the floor not the ceiling .
Silver just needs to be above $30 to bother..needs a sustained confident run that creates the new normal for prices.
Elizabeth hill standalone with peripheral metals could be Upto anywhere at $400 mine, just as is.
Aware of the plans to Munni Munni and drain the deep pit that Legend had, just this project and others for UFO is standing on giant shoulders of the silver price now.
Elizabeth hill has spent decades waiting for this silver price.
