I started with £1k.
Grew that to +£100k.
I banked £50k and re-invested the other £50k, which is now only worth about £20k.
These figures are not precise as the sums have grown since then but it is easier to explain like this.
If UKOG goes bust tonight, I'll still walk away with £49k I didn't have three years ago.

Adrian has done a lot to help this board and UKOG investors in general.
He expressed his opinion and was perfectly entitled to, as he still is.
I am still grateful to him for his efforts and appreciate them, whichever side of the fence he's on.

Alas, I had some invested in it via an ETF.
Whole thing folded a month ago and I lost £30k.
Not strictly accurate as it'd grown from a £10k investment a year ago (not much trading of it, just changes in the SP) and also got 5% back when it closed.
Still valued at £30k a week earlier though.

Yep (although Chump started it all three years ago, they and the Russki's are only just now reacting.).
They have since promised to cut production which should impact markets this month.
By how much will b interesting to see.
Hopefully at least some positive effect to Brent soon (don't care about WTi anymore, lol).

Been watching UKOG closely this week so missed ACP.
I'm fully invested at the moment anyway (no spare cash).
But will probably sell my Tuesday purchase for less than I was targeting, to make sure I get a quick turnaround.

Lockdown happened in March 2010.
Brent began slipping in December 2019.
UKOG sliding trend started in 2018.
While acknowledging the lockdown won't have helped, there's no correlation.

Same here.
Three years ago there were days when it was possible to make three trades of 10% and more.
I've traded it up and traded it down.
Now the rewards are too small to risk, while it's generally sliding and the spread is so thin.
I put some more in on Tuesday.
I'm already thinking I may need to reduce my target Sell aspiration.

Yep, me too.
I have a lot more invested in oil than I have in just UKOG, so I'd like to see it even higher.
Until we start using it again though, it's going to be around here for a while yet.
I will be interested to see what it does tomorrow.

Well, it goes up and down.
It does that all the time.
Every day.
For example; since you posted it's gone down.

There is no 'Normal' now Johnnie.
The old normal has gone and the next one hasn't had time to establish itself.
I agree with some of what you've said but I fear it's generally over optimistic.
Historically, when this kind of thing happens production does re-establish itself and even goes into over-drive.
But that doesn't happen immediately.
This short period of downturn may take two or three years to recover.
Companies will suffer, having to lay people off.
Those people won't be able to find employment while new businesses are establishing themselves.
During that time, they won't be able to spend money.

There is an oil glut so bad that there's nowhere to even store it.
Countries have been buying up supplies to build their reserves, taking advantage of the cheap prices.
It will take months to work through the glut and then we have to work through those reserves.
