Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
Of interest for me. They are working on sizing the find and it's complicated because it is different to other HE1 finds because of the composition of gases (no hydrocarbons to separate etc.). It sounded to me as though its huge and they need to understand how to size it - flow rates/overall size/volume of the discovery etc.
LB certainly dismissed any doubt about whether they have found flowing gas. She mentioned 'pressure' of the gas without qualifying that.
Expect an RNS is coming that tries to position the scale of this. It could be a portfolio maker.
At 1:15 in the interview. LB "We have found it"
NP. I expect I can be quite annoying.
Elrathia. It was sarcasm. i.e it hasn't sunk at all as it's up 900%. I was making dun of the original posters view that the sp is sinking.
It's sunk up more than 900% this year. I find context is important.
The lab results are important but not market shakers. One would expect the independent lab results to mirror the initial lab results. Both are done by highly credible experts in the field.
The more interesting news is what is commercially possible. News of a JV or other supportive partnership will move this sp.
The independent lab results are required because no lawyer is going to allow a client to sign up to any commercially binding agreement without them but if they are the same as on site tests then the market already has that data.
Flow rates?? Nothing to do with the independent lab.
Lots to potentially update on in an operational update RNS.
Never, ever assume that anything gets done over the xmas holidays. There is 2 weeks of off time and after more than 35 years in business I can tell you that this is one of the most accurate planning assumptions you can make in any walk of life.
Timescale for our independent lab results is about 4-8 weeks. Nobody knows any differently but it is almost certainly more than a month but unlikely to be more than 2 months IMO.
HE1 will release an operational update before those lab results come in. There is more to know. They could reveal JV/partner discussions taking place and more details about the on site tests and data. Steps towards commercial production will take time and the company will want the market to know what those steps look like.
4.7% 'helium flowing to surface' Lorna Blaise
There is loads more to update the market on that isnt the independent lab results.
Makes absolutely no difference to most of us. Yawn.
Joe80 - that is the impression I get. You don't state 'flowing' if it isn't flowing.
Joe80, Thanks. Could be full well test next then. This is where owning your own rig makes a big difference.
It will take time to actually sign the contracts for a JV but we might get something on expressions of interest. I think JV partners will want to know more about the find first. Flow rate at what % etc. It's one thing to say unto 4.7% but what is it over an extended flow test. Don't get me wrong - up to 4.7% was way enough that we can be confident.
Joe - your point about the stem testing leading to flow rates. I was a little surprised they didnt make more of this. The words 'flowing to surface' were so powerful and can not have been written by accident. Would be good to know what that 'flow' looked like. It is just that stem test flow rates are not as reliable as what they do next?
Putting the heating on in the harem.
Blubay is bang on right. Decide now what you will do if the sp hits a certain level. Protect your capital. I have rules when I will sell 20% for this one because it has long term potential. For others it's 100%. You don't have to sell all of your shares but you will feel good about having some cash in hand and you can always reinvest it.
Not having a plan might leave you staring at the screen giggling about how good your profit looks like and then it can be gone in moments. It's like going on a long car journey and then staying in the car when you arrive.
'flow' is the news we are waiting for. Is it hair drier flow or wafting flow or somewhere in between.
Seriously - telling the market how often they can fill the canister with 4.7% helium every hour is what matters. And a JV to help them fund a helium and hydrogen plant.
I'm sure delaying any positive news so for ISA time is the companies top priority.
Yes we can have supply for more than 10 to 20 years if we recycle what we have (we don’t) and we find more of the global reserves of helium.
The commercial value is well known and any thinking that it can’t find a market is for the birds frankly. It is a highly in demand product. This isn’t another oil or natural gas find. He1 are not competing with literally thousands of other producers. A few dozen maybe.
LB: 'Flowing helium to surface in such high concentrations is a huge milestone for the Company and we will now fully evaluate these results and focus on advancing this project in the most effective way possible; one that will aim to achieve commerciality at the earliest opportunity.'
'Commerciality at the earliest opportunity'. That doesn't sound like they didnt have a good 'flow'. Are they still assessing this or do they need to do more drill work to establish this 'flow'?
With all of these AIM exploration companies there is generally always a reason to plan more drilling to prove out the find and so we get another round of funding and drilling and dilution. This - aim to achieve commerciality - got my attention. Isnt LB saying this well is commercial on it's own? Is this the point where HE1 transitions to production.
I still think they will JV to proof of concept for production of this well and that will be the catalyst to further expansion in Rukwa. I might be reaching but we could be getting amazing news at any time (and by that I mean days but it could also be months). Exciting I think.
Whilst the placing has not dragged the sp down to 1.5p it must have had some impact. We might see this move back up a bit now with that behind us.
If they can provide data on the flow of gas from the well then that is going to make a big difference. 4.7% is amazing and now we need other parts of the value equation. I do think it's coming.
