If you read the previous RNSs there is no mention that the coal supply agreement between UC and Eskom had not been signed only that CZA where attempting to obtain working capital for readmission to aim

will not proceed...said in every UC RNS for 12 months, yet it was known the deal with ESKOM and UC over NCC had not been signed. A material fact that was not disclosed until two weeks before the deal being cancelled. Poor at best, deceitful at worst.

Friday was the deadline with no further extensions. An RNS will be released today confirming deal or no deal.

The deal is dead now let us move on. The delays were never explained now we know the reason. UC have no production, CZA can not or have not raised WC, ESKOM do not want the coal....otherwise they would have signed a deal with UC so that NCC could be a producing asset

We have control over 94% of UC, UC have not signed a deal with Eskom, NCC can not be mined without a signed deal, this was expected early 2016, no funding available for working capital...and people are suggesting the deal is possibly off...? Coal prices have increased maybe this is why UC is attempting to renege on the deal. I do hope we have compensation clauses written into the offer document

As I read the statement CoAL is unable to confirm that there is enough working capital for the next twelve months to see the enlarged group through the next 12 months though talks to secure such funds are continuing...
