The UK is emerging from the worst plague the world has ever seen, plus the biggest war in Europe since WW2, plus a war in the near-Europe Med sea, plus war-and-pandemic-driven hyperinflation, plus the relentless march of Marxism thru British institutions, not to mention the quiet Maoist revolution taking place throughout the NHS.

And yet, despite the most turbulent decade since WW2, the UK still has the fastest growth in all of the G7 major nations, the 2nd-lowest state debt among all the G7, much lower unemployment than the EU, exports have soared to become the world's 4th largest exporter, everyone who wants one in the UK has a job, and wages are rocketing at their fastest rate this century.

The UK is in surprisingly very good shape.

Rishi has done a poor job of getting that message out.

Raspberry Pi is the bestselling British computer of all time.

It has vastly outsold the (famous) ZX Spectrum and BBC computers since first commercial launch in 2012.

For Raspberry Pi to grow big in the future, it will have to open up new markets "beyond the nerd". RPI management will need to develop next-gen computers, robotics, industrial IoT, smarthome automation, and AI personal assistants for normal people who don't care about SBCs, SOCS and GPUs.

Raspberry is a fruit. With good management, it can become an Apple.

Yes, this is a major (major) ongoing problem for the London stockmarket. Most UK investors just want to gamble on a hole of oil in the ground. Stick or twist. A spin of the roulette wheel. Few in the UK understand the future of tech, and even fewer understand how to value (and finance) it properly.

That's why it's so good to see RPI rocketing and near-doubling this week. Its potential for low-cost robotics and intelligent personal assistants is huge, while its partnerships with ARM and DeepMind show it is in good strategic shape. Making all the right moves.

Tend to agree with Align Research. BMV looks ready to test the 2-3p level.

BMV has found ~$3b of high-grade gold in Korea... some Korean locals have given BMV $5m to get a permit and into production... and BMV top management is now clearly moving things forward with purpose and at a rapid pace.

The key sentence in today's RNS is... "with regards to Kochang, discussions regarding a potential JV with *the same consortium* that invested in Gubong are at *an advanced stage*, and the team is confident of a *positive conclusion* in the *near future* with *legal drafting underway*...

To me, reading between the lines, that sounds an awful lot like BMV is about to get handed another wedge of several million dollars...

Yes, you need to sign up with an IPO broker, like II. Then, you pre-buy IPO shares in the "closed" market. Await the official share allocation. Then, post-sell them in the "open" market. For example, RPI was pre-bought circa Jun 3, allocated circa Jun 11, and can be sold (or added to) from Jun 14.

As a separate aside, have to say, it's a bit cheeky, giving institutions 3 days of free RPI trading before private investors can trade them. Corporates could trade them from yesterday (Tues). Individuals can only trade from Fri. That's not fair. London is only a semi-open IPO market. No wonder so many firms prefer to list in NY.

That's a great point, which almost everyone in the UK is forgetting, ignoring, overlooking, or they simply don't have the intelligence to grasp how the world works.

The past 4 years have seen some of the *biggest* global crises (not just UK) the world has ever seen in all of history.

Not just war again in Europe (Ukraine) and near-Europe in the Med (Israel-Gaza), but hyperinflation caused by those wars, and also Covid -- the most destructive pandemic mankind has ever seen.

And yet, despite 4 short years of turmoil of plague and war and hyperinflation, the UK remains in good shape. GDP is growing, debt is among the lowest of any major nation, inflation is back under control, unemployment remains very low, everyone who wants a job has one, and wage growth is extremely strong by every measure from the minimum wage to millionaire City bonuses.

We defo all need to cheer up. Things are pretty good in the UK.

ARM is a shareholder in RPI. If this reaches a similar PE ratio to ARM, then RPI could be worth ~£50 a share, compared with ~£3 today at launch.

It's a fair bet this will get taken over by a US, European or Asian firm at some point. Maybe private equity. UK tech firms almost never survive on their own -- we no longer have the management, finance or govt skills to run big tech companies. Wouldn't be a surprise to see somebody like Softbank (Japan) or KKR (US) swoop in and take it out in ~2025.

Yes, leaving Normandy early was a colossal blunder by Sunak. He missed the big prime-ministerial photocall on the beach, failed completely to promote the UK on the global stage, he's anonymous to the world's media (unlike Boris), Zelensky (the modern Churchill) left him out of his social-video posts, and (above all) he sneered at the old boys in their 90s and 100s who saved our a*se back in the day.

Those optics won't play good with senior Tory or Labour-redwall voters.

Yes, this has slipped under the radar, but the market is starting to sit up and take notice. The £33m revenue projection for 2025 is impressive. A rerate to 1 x sales here would put the TAST shareprice around the 20p level (currently, 2p).
