Definitely reads good: http://otp.investis.com/clients/uk/helphire/rns/regulatory-story.aspx?cid=339&newsid=406791. They've still got £33M at the end of just one quarter after the purchase of the law firm. Defo good business model!! Must also read the consolidation report...1 to 10 shares...not too shabby: http://otp.investis.com/clients/uk/helphire/rns/regulatory-story.aspx?cid=339&newsid=406746 Sp has already shown a spike but I am surprised how quite the board still is!!! Let the ramping on the board begin haha. But, I am glad I held to my little shares and the only ones in the blue atm as well!! GLA
It's a mixed bag alright! Few key things that haven't been discussed on the board are the increase in no. of shares from 2M shares to 1.9B, so all ya people ramping about the sp, should do some maths, 20x dilution...almost! The next thing is the number of ongoing legal proceedings against the company (page 16 of 33) of the http://www.talvivaara.com/files/talvivaara/2014/Talvivaara%202013%20Annual%20Results%20Review%2030.4.14.pdf It appears to me that the sp took the turn for worse once the news on YLE http://yle.fi/uutiset/talvivaara_2013_losses_at_700_million_euros_new_uranium_permit_granted/7214956 Nothing has changed or surprised me. I think all the investors doing the research already knew most of the facts included in the annual. Folks who relied on published information are acting on the negative news, me thinks. I was quite happy with the sp stay at 7p level today. I do agree that the sp could take a nosedive shortly, however not for long. The next good news is the removal of all the water in the gypsum pond by May.
Probably back down to 4.5-5p I think after tomorrow's news!
And this: http://www.iii.co.uk/articles/162824/talvivaara-drops-shareholders-panic Well hope the company stays at this level post the Wed news cos I don't anticipate anything exciting!! Just the facts that are already known really...GLA
That's right...however, I think the share price might fall short of everyone's predictions of 9-10 p by the end of the year if the news don't keep coming. If it did reach that value in the absence of news, I'd be suspecting shorting again and be bailing out. Knigelk, Pick your brains? Do you know what shares in the AIMS market can be shorted and which ones can't be..I am currently invested in companies within SETS, SETSqX and SEAQ...I am thinking of staying clear of shortable trading services with having my fingers burnt a few times...
WM, like you thorough research into the company. However, as Corbine has mentioned already, Talv is not out of the troubled waters yet in terms of their water troubles (Pun intended!). Page 11 (or 13) mentions that there is 7 million m3 of water they are struggling to discharge as it is not covered in the env permit, page 12 (or 14) mentions that the gypsum pond has a million m3 of water which will be discharged this year. Pages 16-17( or 18-19) summarises the 14 events Talv had in just one year! The pending permits application info on Page 19 (or 21)...more information definitely in the sustainability report: http://www.talvivaara.com/files/talvivaara/KeKe%202014/Talvivaara_2013_sustainability.pdf But I think I've done my reading for a Sunday!
BaffinsMafia, things are still looking the same to me as they were before. I still haven't got a clue why the share price jumped to 12.25p and then crashed...potential shorting?? I don't trade in CFDs so not clued up on what shares are available for shorting! I do believe that the company is going to come good...however, disappointed at the fact that I didn't take advantage of high sp last week and sold and got back in now when the sp is looking better from a buyer's perspective. To be perfectly honest the markets in general were pretty bearish last week with the Ukraine crisis. Saying all the above, we might see some rise in the sp again next week once the stamp duty has been removed on aims shares. Fingers crossed as always!
both the board and the regulatory news from the company. The next date in the financial diary for the company is the Sep 2014 for the first result announcement... Hope to hear some news on the pending court case in the interim or anything else more exciting...it has been awful long. If nothing is done then the company will go off investors' radar and it will be difficult to keep the sp at current level...:(
Fine read for all those who like to research and make decisions: http://www.talvivaara.com/files/talvivaara/KeKe%202014/Talvivaara_2013_sustainability.pdf It's a mixed bag in my opinion. A lot of embellishment, contradiction and some truth there as well...Impressed by their honesty, all the bad events in 2013 are there in the report mentioned either as a one liner or a little paragraph hidden by a page full of how great the company policies are, etc. To be honest, if I was in their shoes I would have done the same, expand on good things and mention briefly bad things. More reports like this on the 30th (especially auditors report) could bring out some more skeletons out, just my fear! It has been a tough past year for the company to be fair and flowery written reports can't hide that. However, the actions they have taken are in the right direction and the permits issue looks like will be resolved spring this year. I would hold till the better news start coming out.
The good thing is that the sp has increased so much on a potential leaked news, once it is public the graph will start heading in the right direction once again :)! And all this increase without any permanent funding solution, when that is achieved in six months time, I'll let you guys think for yourself where the sp could end...hopefully paying off some of our mortgages (surely not mine tho!) haha. I would say that there might be a period when RNSs start coming in left right and centre (holdings RNSs, the potential leaked news, permanent funding solution, any other news relating to environment management, etc.) so you want to be in for that and not buy at a much higher price when the RNS is out. Right I think I've started talking about things that have already been covered in the posts. Hope this has provided a bit of insight into why this is a profitable share in the medium and long term without getting too technical. Again the disclaimer, especially with all the newbies on the board: 'This is my opinion only and investing strategy in the company, anyone reading this post or any others should do their own research before deciding if this suits their portfolio and investment style."
I have read posts during the past couple of weeks when the sp was on the unsustainable rise, Schlepper, Wealthmanager, Corbs and other oldies and new guys who've posted here...some really informative posts and got me thinking about my long term stand on the company. At one point I thought I should sell at 12p and the re-invest but tbh, I believe the company has got lot more potential! Not going re-iterate why as it has been mentioned time and time again. I would be much happier if the sp stays at 7-8 p level now till some good news. That leads me to my next point, is the good news out on the 30th...yes and no. Yes as there will be some positive statements made by Pekka, however up until Q4 last year it was all doom and gloom for the company! So the financials for last year shall not be a pleasant read...I don't think. You can review the financials from the past years on their website: http://www.talvivaara.com/investors/financial_information/financial-reports/2012_Financial_reports to get an idea of the type of information included and what period is covered. Whatever news spiked up the share price might not be part of the release on the 30th and will have to be released separately as the financial statement for last year should not cover Q1 and 2 2014. The list of other reports that shall be out on the 30th can be found on: http://www.talvivaara.com/investors/financial_information/financial-reports Now unfortunately they are all pointing to the reportable period to the end of 2013 which will not do much justice to what company has done up until now this year. Hopefully, they will all have a section / paragraph to say that all the negative figures have or forecast to improve next year due to increase in nickel price, re-organisation, sustainable operations, etc. etc. But I am not sure what the rules are for containing information outwith the reported period. If companies are not allowed to cover any periods outwith the reporting period, then I think my next key date will be 28th May for Q1 2014 interim and 14th August for the second quarter interims. I hope the company issues RNSs that could justify recent sp rise tho, surely there will be people who have crossed the RNS reportable shareholding limits over the past couple of weeks...but still no word?! The company has been poor with their communications in the past and deferred publication of some of the key results, including the finacials out on the 30th...grrrrr!!!! Now, another damper to folks' hopes...the permanent funding solution shall not be part of the news on the 30th because: - the company said last month that over next 6 months to a year, the company would work to secure permanent funding, not sure how they could have secured something so quickly? Unless that's what caused sp rise and in that case your guess is as good as mine! - but again that can not be published in the report for period ending 31st Dec 2013. The Nyrstar loan agreement might not make it to
I don't think any reason why their request would be rejected and how that could affect the share price. Just translated it for myself and thought would share in case everyone is getting worried / excited!

just been back from yoga and saw the RNS is out: Talvivaara's corporate reorganization progresses Reports on the financial status completed The reports on the financial status of Talvivaara Mining Company Plc (the "Company" or "Talvivaara") and its operative subsidiary, Talvivaara Sotkamo Ltd, have been completed by the administrator of the corporate reorganization. According to the administrator, an executable restructuring programme can be set up for both the Company and for Talvivaara Sotkamo Ltd, provided that financing solutions for an interim period and for the longer term are achieved. As previously announced, the Companytogether with the administrator continues active discussions for securing the additional financing and has already entered into an agreement with Nyrstar Sales and Marketing AG ("Nyrstar") on a loan facility of up to 20 million euros and, subject to securing the long term financial solution, an option to enter into a streaming holiday from the zinc streaming agreement. During the streaming holiday the Company would sell the zinc concentrate to Nyrstar at market terms, which would have a significant additional financing impact to Talvivaara.
There were two releases on the 26th Mar entitled "Exemption for Talvivaara from the timing of publication of the Financial Statements Release, Financial Statements and B.o.D Review" (http://hugin.info/136227/R/1771801/603447.pdf), and "Changes in the time schedule of Talvivaara's corporate reorganisation" (http://hugin.info/136227/R/1771906/603508.pdf) with 31st and 11th April respectively as the deadlines. If you go by the title of the second RNS, the corporate re-organisation details should have been released on Friday in the absence of exemptions. However, if you read the actual content of the 2nd RNS (ignoring the title), it doesn't mention anything on the corporate re-organisation and says the financials will be out on the 11th. Now that makes sense cos they've got absolute muppets doing the RNSs and also probably running the company!!!! I personally think the other RNS on the re-organisation and financials will be out before 30th April as per the first RNS...the company can say that the second RNS was inaccurate and buy themselves bit more time in publishing the results!! Comments?? Hope this helps poosmells
Brill post legobrickgirl...I'm definitely holding on till autofocus and this year's financial's are out. this will be the first year of trading with no debts and a takeover of a more successful business.
Got a good feeling about the corporate re-organisation and the financial status report (originally scheduled for 11th). The market has already reacted positively in anticipation yesterday. I expect it to be out first thing Monday morning and give us a slightly bullish week hopefully. GL
