Dsrt - surely the RNS gives the relevant timescale of happening in qtr1.! A placing can occur at any time as we full well know.

From the RNS dated 11.22.20... "We are on track for the principal outstanding Ethiopian Project financing-related matters to be completed in the coming weeks, with financial closing and the start of development planned for Q1 2021."

This does seem to indicate that this will be "fully legally" completed anytime between Jan 21 and Mar 21 if those timescales are to be believed in that RNS. No delays mentioned, so far. All looking good.

A very interesting quarter ahead.
Hopefully the time will pass quickly.

Very bold and positive statements from that RNS. Nothing in there to suggest delay in funding that I can see as the Minister of Mines as you say has also been visiting. A very significant sign if ever there was one that finance is now on its way in weeks. This is the uplift that we all need in what has been a cr*p year for everyone with Covid.

The positive news this evening from Ethiopia, can only attract not detract from the impending funding outcome due this quarter. The sp from here, should start breaking through to pre conflict levels.

Conflict in Tigray Region

A: The Company’s activities continue uninterrupted by conflict in the Tigray region which is more than 1,000km from Tulu Kapi. All TKGM directors and management in Ethiopia work uninterrupted on the project, closely with the Government, community and the financing consortium. Any material consequence for KEFI would be reported. The company hopes the conflicts in the Tigray region are quickly resolved to avoid further loss of life and any further risk.

On Thursday, the president of Ethiopia’s Amhara region, Temesgen Tiruneh, said that regional and federal special forces had regained control along the border with Tigray. He also said some TPLF troops had surrendered.
