Carl, Only the seller or buyer knows his true motivation for making a trade. I think sells are often impatience either to recover a loss or in the hopes of making a fast buck elsewhere. Don't get suckered into day-day moves. Of course holding a failure is equally unwise. The bottom line is you have to do the research and make your own decisions. As for me, I'm very happy with my holding here and am looking forward to the next 18 months. GLA
Check the last few RNS and they'll give you the current picture. But in short, waiting on water permit in Utah which may be appealed by Living Rivers. Assuming permit remains extant, expect a reasonable re-rating towards 3p. As always, DYOR
A nice read from the Utah Water department on Red Leaf: http://www.deq.utah.gov/businesses/redleaf/index.htm You can search the site ref Red Leaf too
Lets be honest, the water permit will get issued and there will be protests. I think in this energy hungry world, energy demand is stronger than Eco morals. It's a sad fact that our demand for natural resources outweighs our concerns for the environment. I think Living River will continue to protest, but there have been protesters outside FasLane in Scotland for 20 years and that's not going to change!! The bottom line for shareholders is that this Co is growing nicely.
I feel permits are already factored in. In my experience the AIM needs real proof before things move. In other words production, so don't be surprised if there's little action this year. That said, this has great potential as a 2-year punt
Reading the trading update of 11th Sep, it states: TOM has commenced drilling activities on its Holliday Block to appraise the water quality, quality of any aquifers and the permeability of rock below surface of the Holliday lease area. Utah State law requires that any facility that discharges or may potentially discharge pollutants to ground water must have an approved Groundwater Discharge Permit from the Utah Division of Water Quality. Drilling activities are expected to take approximately a month to complete, with the results of water quality and permeability testing expected by year end. Surely the issue of a Permit is dependant upon those results being satisfactory, which would mean the permit might not get issued until the new Year? Or have I misunderstood?
