Pre-FEED is normally a 3 month study, but means that they are in the running for the FEED and whole project. Whoever is in charge of business development needs some recognition, some strong partnerships going on.
As a contract project manager, I am tempted to join PFC with all of the work going on.
I agree, the last thing the shorts wanted was this reaching 70p/80p and PFC doing a offering. That would have destroyed the shorts. Instead the shorts are keeping it low to prevent a offering in that region, therefore ruling the option of a offering out.
Hedge playing games.
Zoom Out. Zone Out.
See you in Feb
What's the myth here?
As the RNS
Petrofac’s portion of the second contract valued at around US$1.4 billion.
FEED is normally 30% of the contract value - $0.42b
Downpayment is normally 30% of the FEED - $0.126b
Shorts can go and get.........
As per the RNS

Pipeline is thew right word, although I have my concerns.
Im sure there are a few worried holders heere, and frankly total loss of investment is a possibility.
that being said I would say that the user Dogger 69 is reknowned troll on LSE and all users should feel very at ease ignoring ever post made by this user, as it is a trolling account, I have to admit im extremely surprised it is still active.
that being said it is definetely the pipeline which is the issue, contract tenders and strikerating and trunaround time were the reason I stayed out of this. I would be a bit surprised If PFC avoids being sold out of administration but here to it beating the odds stacked against it.
-------------------------------------
So now we have a pipeline....................
I think we will start to see the Smart Money coming in. Volume down, SP Stabilising, SP sitting on the 1D VWAP.
Paul Shortis
10% is not high, most US stocks are 10% shorted. The problem comes if that real number is 30-40%. Remember losses are infinite, in a short squeeze.
Sat on the VWAP on my 1D chart, today would be the time for it to bounce to maintain a uptrend.
Correct and the market is not full of experienced of EPC's and the engineers that come with them.
With a decent backlog, maybe new bond issues would be the answer (2026/27), as the company is not going anywhere.
I will add to this that the actual short percentage will probably be closer to 30%, but it's hidden in weird and wonderfully ways.
Having worked for a similar company, they will have.
You don't get into bed with a company on the brink of collapse. They will actually actively support them.
Shorts are running out of time;
1. If they were so in control, this wouldn't have gone to 45p
2. If they were so in control, they would have let this run to 60/70p and then shorted. Why short so heavy at these levels?
3. Sold but not purchased. Not all the shares purchased by PI have reached the market yet from the MM
4. They can't get the sell volumes they want at this level
5. That spring is getting more and more compressed.
Now all this fear about dilution. Let's say they dilute 2for1. With the backlog we expect this to rise in the coming year back to the £1 level, that's still 50p/share with dilution. Reward outweighs the risk for me.
"I have a large position in the Bonds (over £1m)"
Has loads of Money and knows how to make it (surely not only position), but sits on a chat board all day. Laughable
"My dream result would be a takeover . This appears feasible (PFC the top player in the ME) but for that 10% short position…"
Why would a short position stop a M&A? I thought it would help as they have reduced the SP.
Lots of talk of dilution, must be working for the shorts.
The only risk PFC is short-term. Based on the size of the contracts I am sure a bank would be happy to provide short-term liquidity.
The contracts are partnerships, normally in a partnership the client will provide down payments to support their partnership.
How about an investor or similar company wants in.
Lots of ways to skin a cat.
"Well if today isn't a prime example of just how rotten to the core this whole maliputive system is I really don't know what is"
"Like I posted earlier, I do not know how you can physically reduce an SP so that shorts can clear there positions but it is clearly what happens"
Place a buy and see if it appears on the open market. However if you place a sell it will.
Playing with the spread.
