Trouble is that this week there hasn’t been much of a drift on no sales news. I think there is now too much positive info for big drifts that we had seen over the last month. It may now be a case of where you think this will end up from here and if that profit margin is worth it then invest. People like RK is, and he seems far more experienced than I.
A few days ago there was a news item on Hampshire hospital using our test to screen staff. I assume the same model of testing is now being followed by the other 21 hospitals and outposts etc. This will grow, but it does take a bit of time.
As for WHO they are very good at telling everyone what to do, but not the hows. For example tracing contacts for one patient and following up on it takes at least two workers out of nhs care duties. When we are being faced with a possible explosion of cases then those staff are better utilised doing their everyday job.
Inside a few weeks the government have done their best to keep people with money in their pockets, provide for the vulnerable, try and support business, establish controlled supply chains. I personally think it is the right strategy. Provide money and most will abide by the stay in policy. Abide by the stay in policy then contact tracing isn’t required in full. And if I were tested at home and positive would it make a difference to what I do next, no other than stay in more.
The only testing that needs to be developed is front line staff. And that will come apace. People forget the speed that things are developing here in days rather than weeks.
Have faith in our scientist advice to government, after all it is the skill of the British scientist who has given us ncyt test.
Please be positive and stop bitcoin every two minutes, it’s depressing enough stuck at home with the wife, I don’t need it from you lot as well!
Speed of trial wholly depends on what constitutes a pass or fail, and how long to get there. Unfortunately none of us on the outside know at the mo....... I hope that it is a relatively fast process and the more patients the quicker results can be interpreted etc
Maqsood
Good effort, but it simply means the first patient is having doses, they are
Identifying other patients across a number of sites...... nothing more nothing less....
It’s still very good news even without you unwavering optimism
The only thing that would help us better guess is rules on issuing RNS. I thought it was issue three days max from event..... but I could be wrong. Rns dated today but could relate to info pertinent three days ago.........Anybody with better knowledge of the rules
Richard Marsden, CEO of Synairgen, commented: "We are delighted to get this trial underway with the dosing of the first patient. The team has worked tirelessly and intensively with the relevant authorities and collaborators to get to this stage, and we now look forward to recruiting more patients and completing the trial as soon as possible. A successful outcome from this trial in COVID-19 patients would be a very important step towards a major breakthrough in the fight against this coronavirus pandemic."
In addition to Wolf’s post it’s worth reading the whole release...... it explains that labs were sure of EUA so didn’t use available tests! This has now been changed. One would assume NCYT will be used more now........
