RE: Try this...5 Jun 2018 09:35
That is a highly misleading quote to have pulled out! That is talking about FUTURE deposits, not Cinovec. Read further down, this is discussed.
'Geomet is the holder of four exploration licenses and two preliminary approvals to determine the mining area, so it has the preferential right to possible extraction. According to Pavlík, the company is now finishing with the technical documentation, together with the documentation for the study of the environmental impact and the groundwork for the territorial and construction management, for obtaining the permit.
Diamo then stated that "increased state involvement (participation) could currently be based solely on an agreement with EMH - Geomet". The state would say that mining was only done if the studies proved feasibility and economic profitability.
"Exploration areas are allowed until 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. If EMH-Geomet does not use the time available to carry out the survey and which will have a bearing and mining opening, we believe that the acquisition rights the Cínovec deposits can go to the state."
No question of a 'takeover'. They're just saving face and planning for the future if other deposits are found in the country, or if EMH were to decide not to pursue Cinovec in a timely manner for some reason.
